Snuggle, the fabric softener is known as Kuschelweich in Germany has a very different Snuggle Bear over there than in the US. In the US and Canada, our Snuggle looked as natural as Ted from the movies except in the Snuggle ads they actually used Muppet tech to get the bear to look so real. German Snuggle Bear doesn’t look real at all with his ventriloquist dummy like mouth and shit ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puXQKKYqyZ0
Finally JC gets to talk about this absolute legend of the 90s. The Milkybar Kid was kind of like the Cheerios Kid in the 80s or when the Campbell's Soup Kids came back in the 90s. He's actually an English creation, the Milkybar Kid was brought over to Australia and New Zealand to go over as well as he did in the UK

I have seen my fair share of shit from PETA but this encroaches on a gamer's safe space of the video game. Isn't the whole point of a video game to escape the horrors or reality if only for a bit. But PETA is shoving their way into Fortnite and trapping players with animal skins to illustrate their bullshit message about zoos. Also, according to my video game knowledge aren't most of the animal skins in Fortnite literal animals who became human like with the exception of the Cuddle Trooper who's some schmuck in a furry suit. I have the Oscar skin in classic orange and white even though it's a widely revered symbol in India and on the brink of going extinct

There's an ad campaign that no one outside of France talks about for Sega. C'est plus fort que toi for the Sega Mega Drive. It is iconic in French. But I am so glad many European countries in the 90s went with Sega Pirate TV. BTW the voice of the Maître Sega for the ads is Patrick Borg aka the voice of Son Goku in the French Dragon Ball Z dubs

This classic spot from 1998 features Mikhail Gorbachev and his daughter Anastasia in a Pizza Hut in Moscow. This was a beautiful ad for its time, it's just sad that Pizza Hut left Russia due to Russia attacking Ukraine but hey, what are you gonna do? RIP Gorbachev

Found a French Volkswagen ad. It’s a gas. But here’s a funny fact for ya, VW's group name in Europe is called Volkswagen Auto Group or VAG. You don’t need a dirty mind to realize what that means. At least they didn’t leave Romania out of a map of Europe. https://insideevs.com/news/494698/volkswagen-power-day-romania-not-europe/

My first Egyptian PSA and it's pretty good. I'm a sucker for musical numbers and this one is pretty catchy even though it was in Arabic. I was also kinda fascinated by how they got a Game Boy Advance to display a little animation. Did they use one of those GBA flash carts to do that or did they take the lazy-ass way out and animate it on to the screen? I'm just fascinated by the magic of advertising and how much time and effort it can take for a 30 second spot. This is for a service in Egypt where you can recycle old unwanted tech and get swag and prizes for it. https://www.etadweer.com/en/
