Learn Synthesis with VCV Rack S02E09 - The Neutrinode Controller Sequencer Module by Sha#Bang!
We continue to look at the free Sha#Bang! brand of modules for VCV Rack, the free and open source virtual Eurorack modeling software. In this episode we look at the Neutrinode module, which has an interface reminiscent of the interface for Nodebeat. You have 4 color-coded generators that you can place within a square area that project out "neutrinos" that stimulate nodes to play a pitch and send a trigger. You can graphically map out the placement of your generators and nodes such that some nodes are shared and some are not. You can select pitches and declare a tonal center and mode that your pitches are centered around. You can then have the generators and nodes move at a speed that you control. It's a very creativeway at looking at a sequencer or controller for synthesis.
In this episode, Wayfarer and Cyberlinxz take a trip around the eastern side of the creative map. They explore a couple of islands, fight creatures, find unicorns, and make some future plans for the development of this Wurm Unlimited Server using the creative map. One can learn some tips for exploring, navigating, and finding their way around in groups of two or more. Getting lost is easy in Wurm, and with a partner, one can help find themselves fairly easily.

If you ever need to make ocean wave sounds for your music or as an audio effect for some multimedia project, VCV Rack is the perfect software for doing this with the VCV noise generator and a number of other free modules. In this episode, we look at how to do this step-by-step, showing different options for customizing your own wave sounds. We look at how to make the synthesized wave sounds realistic and natural, so that they do not sound exactly on time with the rise and fall. this way, they sound more natural. since this approach was used int he first three pieces for the Sound for Relaxation, Meditation, and Sleep playlist, the three different patches for these pieces are also shown for some insight into making ambient music or sound experiences for relaxation.

This sound experiment for relaxation, meditation, and sleep derives elements from Robert A. Monroe's Gateway Experience recordings. The synthesized ocean waves are more realistic and help to regulate breathing and promote relaxation and a quiet mind. The harmonics that enter allow one to practice resonant tuning by chanting along with them. They are an expanded version of resonant tuning, utilizing 7 tones in harmonic relationship with one another. The binaural beating utilizes the same frequencies and beating rate as those used by Monroe. They are enhanced with the use of the harmonics that are related and exist within a sound fractal relationship with them. The rae of beating allows for a shift to the low theta and upper delta brain wave frequencies. Synth ASMR sounds of bubbling and dripping water are also included to help stimulate a meridian response.

I will be releasing my most inclusive sound experience to date in the Sound for Relaxation, Meditation, and sleep Series. This sound experience will have ocean waves, binaural beats, synth ASMR, and Tibetan singing bowl harmonics. It will be a 2 hour program and will be released both with visuals and with a black screen.

In this episode, Wayfarer decides that it is time to make a toolbelt. The starter toolbelt that you get in the game only has 2 slots in it. In order to use keyboard shortcuts, called keybinds effectively to select different items on the fly, one needs a good toolbelt. The first step is to make lye from ash and water and the next step is to create and improve a leather toolbelt. This video shows you how to do that from start to finish and then how the toolbelt and different toolbelt settings work with keybinds.

Wayfarer hosts a Wurm Unlimited server for the purpose of playing the game, teaching the game, and inviting other people to enjoy the Wurm Unlimited experience. In this first episode, Wayfarer introduces himself, the server, and some of the philosophy behind Wayfarer's Wurm Unlimited Server. Additionally, this episode takes one through the basics of Wurm by using the Wurm Unlimited tutorial that opens up when one first logs into the game. This tour is designed to make the learning of Wurm Online and Wurm Unlimited easier. The video covers a good many topics in the basics of Wurm and how to get started in the game.

As we continue our tour of free modules for the free and open source virtual Eurorack modeling software VCV Rack, we have come across some interesting modules from Sha#Bang! in previous episodes. In this episode we look at the Stochastic Sequencers and the corresponding Polyrhythmic Clock. The stochastic sequencers execute both pitch and gate messages. The pitch messages can be assigned to a key or mode with a tonal center and have varying ranges throughout the octaves. The gate messages can be given probabilities so that sequences do not end up repeating exactly the same pattern with each repetition. There are a few quirks, but this episode goes a long way to showing all of the details on these modules.

It's time to finish up the step sequencer that we are making for our Pure Data drum machine. In this episode, we will look at error-checking out patching thus far, creating tempo control for the step sequencer, and creating a jump function so one can skip to any part of the sequence as needed.
