The Candidate Experience Awards - Bill Kutik, Co-Chairman of the HR Technology Conference
We all know the "candidate experience" -- what happens when you apply for a job -- is often about as enjoyable as going though a full body scanner at the airport. Chances are very good that after "bearing all" you're lucky if your receive a do-not-reply automated email in response to your efforts, which basically states: "don't call us, we'll call you if we feel like it."
There's actually a non-profit organization called The Talent Board trying to DO something about this. The Candidate Experience Awards (CandEs) is a competition, however,it exists to enable any company to benchmark and improve their candidate experience.
This is the third year the award will be presented (at the HR Technology Conference in Las Vegas October 7, 2013. Over 100 companies have applied, and over 22,000 candidates have filled out a very detailed survey: an in-depth report card on the candidate's experience with the target company
In this 5 minute video, Peter Clayton, producer/host of TotalPicture Radio, discusses the evolution of the CandEs with Bill Kutik, Co-Chairman of the HR Technology Conference, and the leading independent analyst of the HR technology marketplace with specialties in HCM, Recruiting, Talent Management, Social Networking, and debunking the latest shiny thing.
