This is part 2 continuing off my last video of the TCL Flip 2 from Family Dollar, in which I play 30 voicemails from the burner phone's inbox. I was also going to show you the text messages I got, but my bumbling hands accidentally unplugged a drive while it was still transferring files and corrupted all the footage. No clue when I'll do this again (if ever,) but I had fun!
Also thank you to everyone who called in! I listened to every single one of your voicemails and loved all of them, except for the jackass that kept leaving silent messages.

Looking to get out of town this summer? Nothing beats staying at a place run by a friendly neighborhood resident instead of burning your wallet at an overpriced hotel! ...Right?
So far this has been my only short video to get stuck in production for nearly a MONTH. When I finished the script for this in June, I decided to also try upgrading the look of the 3D, but I accidentally gave myself too much work. It's been such a fucking nightmare to finish, but I'm glad it's finally done. Hope someone out there enjoys the video (or the new look) too!

If you're reading this, it means I'm no longer in New York City after living here my whole life. I originally recorded this footage to use as a backdrop for a podcast-like video where I talk about this move-out, but I've decided to not make anything at all instead.
Ever since I quit being a "YouTuber" and started making videos "only for fun," I still find myself obsessively choosing how to present myself in these uploads, opening the floodgates to the unhealthy habits of my past.
Last October, I got burned out learning 3D code stuff and wanted to do something else for a while. I started researching and writing a script for a video about Blockstorm, but I got too excited and expanded the project scope to ridiculous 30-minute proportions. (This was because I wanted the video to be a final farewell to my Discord server before I shut it down, although I've decided to give it to someone else instead so it can keep going while I leave.) In the end, I had to scrap a lot of what I had planned, and I now feel stupid for spending over a month on what was effectively a 4-minute voiceover with 3 minutes of gaming footage.
Don't get me wrong though! I'm still proud of the Blockstorm video. (Even the developers at GhostShark loved it when I shared it with them!) I wouldn't even have had any regrets about the project if I was still 16 and in high school. But unfortunately, I'm 23 with a day job. Being an adult has its perks, but the ability to waste time perfecting a Blockstorm video without consequences is not one of them.
In fact, we're reaching a point in time where basic video editing is not really an impressive skill anymore. Anyone with computer literacy can get ahold of Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve and look up how to use it on YouTube, putting together their own tutorial or vacation video without hiring someone else. There's no need to try so hard with online videos anymore, and it's honestly refreshing.
That's why I want to stop editing my uploads as much as I can. I want to post things effortlessly like the Camera Snap video, instead of fussing with making a perfect travel vlog or video essay.
And if everything I've been posting since my quitting video still counts as me being a YouTuber (even if I don't want to call myself one,) then I would go a step further and say that everyone on the internet either IS a YouTuber, has BEEN a YouTuber, or will eventually BE a YouTuber.
You really only quit YouTube for as long as you don't upload.
As for New York City: my largely indoor life sometimes makes me feel like the story of coolernow123/RobotUnderscore/wavetro could have happened in any town in America. However, growing up in this city and taking public transportation to places or simply walking to stores to buy things (instead of my parents driving me to do so) at age 12 really built my self-confidence. I've met so many different people in all the public schools I went to, and I've had lots of autonomy to hang out with my friends on my own terms. But obviously, I don't connect with everything about this city anymore, since I'm leaving town altogether instead of finding roommates to split that god-awful rent. I just don't really like living in such a busy place with amenities I don't really need. I had an especially strained relationship with NYC in 2020, the year when the city got slammed by COVID lockdowns and summer protests. I just really, really hated being around people that year. (Seeing the world on fire was what also finally got me to quit Twitter, which I'm really glad I did since I had also started saying some stupid takes off-site that I now regret saying.) But after all that blew over, I was able to start reconnecting with the city again: going on walks through its odd parks and neighborhoods to absorb something that few other towns in this country have. There are so many people crammed into this one spot, and despite them slowly getting pushed out by soaring rent and real estate prices, I'll always have respect for their resilience and strong sense of community.
Thank you for everything, New York. You've raised me well, and I'll never forget you.
If you've read this far, thank you for listening to my mundane thoughts for an otherwise-exciting life update! As a token of appreciation, I'll leave you with a recording of a livestream talk show I was on with my friend Joober last Monday (the 9th.) We chat about the future (and past) of wavetro and also answer some viewer questions for about 2 and a half hours, if that interests you: https://youtu.be/0opCA7-kmlY. Another thank you to anyone who tuned in to the stream!
And that's it for me. Take care and I'll see you again soon...

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the first video I ever uploaded to the internet. Here's a look back on everything I've ever made, from stop-motion to 3D animation. (You could say this is a 1,000 YouTube subscriber special too, or even a finally-beating-coolernow123's-1310-and-RobotUnderscore's-750-subscribers-with-wavetro's-4030 special.)

While I have no current plans to do anything with them, I owe everything to Angiru, Fist, and Codi. I will never forget the foundation they laid for all my internet videos, past and present, and I hope one day I can return to them in the future.

If you're reading this, type "YOU SUNK MY BATTLESHIP" in the comments. Definitely didn't learn the red team's strategy from someone I lost to, that would be ridiculous cough cough
I've been a fan of Killysunt for the longest time. Always wanted to do a video with him, and here we finally are. If you're reading this and have at least a mild interest in video games, please check out his channel linked below. It's some of the most wildly-entertaining stuff on YouTube.
