£25 toy drone. Next purchase: A nice stabilized drone with a camera. Probably a Mavic or Spark. But hey, it's only for fun. I'd like one that I could fly a line over a tree as well as take video.

Google "stopper knot" or "double overhand knot" to see how I connect the shock-cord to the plastic hooks.

* Film gear: I use a Canon 5D MkIII and a number of professional lenses, a Canon 60D (as Camera 2) a little Canon IXUS 117 HS (as Camera 3) and I use OBS Studio for Screeen capture. Microphone is a RODElink wireless kit and editing is via Adobe Premier on a Windows 7 platform.
* Radios: TS-990, TS-2000 and a TS-590SG. Amplifiers: ACOM 2000 and Tokyo HL 700 B. Numerous wire antennas. DX Commander is genuinely my favorite. After all, I originally built the Mk1 prototype just for me.
* Who am I? I own a couple of small businesses employing less than 10 staff. I'm married to Wendy and have to semi-grown up kids, Lochlan and Emily (M6ELM). I live near a place callum Solihull, about 10 miles from Birmingham UK.
* The DX Commander workshop is near a village called Lapworth in the countryside. I do have a shack there. Electrical noise is extremely quiet so I love operating down there. Need more time to get a big doublet up. I really don't know why I bother with a home shack these days since living on a housing estate can be a challenge in more ways that one - particularly from the electrical-noise perspective.
Thanks for tuning in. Take care and GL. Callum M0MCX.

The most important piece of information you should be giving out is your signal report. After that, you Name and QTH. Have in reserve some snippets of other information so you don't hesitate; radio, antenna and power (for instance) - some folks like a weather report too. Callum.

It really doesn't matter to me, but you can make the hobby more pleasurable by following some basic rules of the road and chosing to follow some best practices. Find a role-model that you enjoy listening to, don't fall into the trap of taking short cuts. On the other hand, this is not life-or-death! Callum, M0MCX.

I ran 1500W Key-Down into two verticals. The new proposed DX10 wire up -vs- D10 on 20m band for 65 seconds. Will it catch fire. We trust the ACOM 2000 amplifier to keep score. Callum, M0MCX.

Another 10-minute bite-sized lesson. Scientific Notation and Units. Ideally suited to Amateur Radio (ham radio) Foundation Students in the UK. This series covers the 2018 and 2019 specification syllabus.
Me: My name is Callum, callsign M0MCX. The whole DX Commander brand was a bit of an "accident" since I already have 2 day-jobs (I own a couple of tech companies).
Everything I make, I use myself. My products are the answer to *my* problems so I made stuff that worked for me. I don't make gear that doesn't work and although I'm considered not short of a few dollars, I love the idea of making things economical, easy to build and as efficient as you can achieve on a tight budget (hey, I hate wasting money!).
My store is here: https://www.m0mcx.co.uk/store/products/ and I ship (almost) worldwide.
Russia seems to be too expensive however EU, USA, Canada and VK land still make my products economical when you include shipping.
Hey. Did you know that you can help the others here by contributing your time to closed caption subtitles here: https://www.youtube.com/timedtext_cs_panel?tab=2&c=UCEWRZEIjVQB8aUkyUQ-g-zA
Enjoy your radio folks. Good luck. Callum. M0MCX.
