So, going back to today’s long hair topic, we’re going to be asking a bunch of random people what they think about guys having long hair… Right from my office lol...
When I initially had this idea, I was planning to go out in the streets of Brisbane CBD and approach people in real life…
You know, like IRL (What even is real life anymore?)
But then the C word happened and now here we are confined to 4 walls & spending excessive amounts of money online on overpriced hair products and funky shirts that at least make me feel better in the short term…

The state I live in here in Australia is actually pretty tame when it comes to covid so people are going about their day to day so I could go out in public and ask people what people think
but the virus is still kicking around and I feel like although the chances of me contributing to the spread are slim, it’s probably more responsible for me to not go out & just prank call random phone numbers from my office instead.
so…. Yeah.

Today I just wanted to touch base with you on a few common long hair mistakes that some guys tend to make and they are ones you definitely want to avoid either during the hair growth process or even if you already have long hair. Just make sure you are not doing the following.
Number one is sleeping with it tied up. I know, sleeping with it tied up is actually more comfortable, because it keeps it off your face and what not but it’s actually not a good thing to do.
If you’ve got long hair, you’re probably very accustomed to wearing it in a man bun but it’s also really important to let your hair down every now and then. Man buns do cause tension and if worn too tight or for too long in a bun can lead to traction alopecia which is balding of the pulling kind.
So if you’re walking around with your hair in a bun all the time and then sleeping with it in a bun all the time. It’s not going to be good for your hair in the long run. You want to grow your hair, not accidentally cause it to fall out.
So no more sleeping with a bun!
Mistake Number 2 is drying your hair with a normal towel and roughing it like this. Stop that. Normal towels are great for absorbing water off your body but they are rough as fword for hair.
Firstly, when your hair is wet it’s super fragile. So if you use a rough material & a rough action on wet fragile hair, what do you think is going to happen? It’s break. And obviously no guy who has long hair or is growing long hair wants that right.
Also, normal towels really rough the cuticle up which for coarse hair types like mine boof it out 30,000 times more than it normally would. So to avoid all of the above, use either a soft microfiber towel or a cotton t-shirt and squeeze when you’re drying it. Don’t rough it up haha. Whatever you do.
The 3rd long hair mistake guys make is brushing it when it’s wet.
Again going back to what I said just before, hair is really fragile when it’s wet, so using a brush on it while it’s in that state is one awesome way to ensure your hair doesn’t grow… At all haha. If you absolutely have to, use an extremely large wide tooth comb and gently work your way through the hair. No paddle brushes and no fine tooth combs ok.
Mistake number 4 that guys make about long hair is underestimating the amount of maintenance that’s actually required with the upkeep of long hair. As it grows there’s more of it and when you have the more it the true condition of your hair is a lot more obvious than when it’s short.

OMG! When I said getting high I didn't mean the Marijuana kind... The Q1 Skypoint Climb here on the Gold Coast was absolutely Breathe taking and a perfect little date to have with Joshy.
The Tour Guide.
We had an awesome tour guide named Pete, with a super thick Aussie accent, lots of charisma and full of quirky little gold coast facts.
Fun Gold Coast facts that I remember :
1. Q1 is the tallest residential building in Australia, pretty fricken coolI thought.
2.I found out that there is over 500,000 people living on the Gold Coast now! No wonder driving around is such a fricken pain in the bum!
3. Surfers Paradise actually used to be called Elston... What a hideous name!
He was full of other info that was cool, but they were the main points I remember for some reason lol.
What we got & How much we paid.
The Tickets Josh & I bought were 75 bucks each and packed with value, included in the ticket prices was :
a) Admission to do the Skypoint Climb
b) A Skypoint Climb souvenir cap
c) One group photo of everyone on the tour
d) Entry to the Q1 Observation Deck
e) 20% off food and drink at the Observation Deck Restaurant.
We got shit tons of value for a very reasonable price. However there's always a downside.
If I wasn't a video blogger, the next thing I'm about to talk about probably wouldn't have bothered me so much, but I find that attractions like this love to rip you off when it comes to photos. We paid $30 for 2 extra photos of us up the top which I think is a massive rip off because the photos were taken on a tiny little point and shoot camera and weren't very sharp. (could have looked a bit more proffessional for that price, just saying.)
Also as a video blogger I couldn't not get the footage of the tour and was also pretty shocked that it was going to cost me an extra $50 to get that. The footage was really cool but not as cool as my go pro would have been, so if i were to make any suggestions here, maybe develop gopro helmets or something that people can attach their go pro too???? I dunno, I just felt really ripped paying $50 for it....
After the initial Climb we went to the Q1 Observation Deck for some lunch, which was freaking amazing actually, I had a big fat juicy burger with some cider and Josh had calamari or something. REALLY YUMMY!
And then I can home and made a video about my experience haha
Over all I think this experience was an 8 out of 10, very cool and I definitely recommend it not only to people travelling to the Gold Coast but the every fricken local should visit this tower at least once.

Hey guys,
So for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the person who requested for me to do a hair straightening video but here it is!
So if we look at the facts, straightening thick frizzy hair just like mine and most likely yours (if you've found this video) can be an extremely big task. But if done properly, it can look awesome!
In my opinion, knowing how to straighten thick frizzy hair starts with knowing the right products to use. As you will see in the video above I've used a heap of different products to give my hair the best result when straightening it and 4 of which are pre-styling hair products.
The first 4 products I use on my before straightening my hair are most beneficial for my hair type (coarse, thick and frizzzy) and are as follows:
#1: bhave Leave-in Creme
If you follow me regularly you will already know why I love this product and what it does. However for those who don't bhave leave-in creme is a leave-in conditioner made from organic ingredients including keratin and what it does is, it helps dry frizzy hair retain moisture and give it a nicer feel thus keeping it in a healthy condition.
Even if I don't straighten my hair this is the one product I use EVERY DAY without fail. If just by looking you can tell your hair is similar to mine, I would try this product out or at least something like it. #2: bhave Supernova
bhave supernova is a fairly new product from bhave and it's designed to be an elixir for your hair. The ingredients in it keep your hair nice and healthy but the number one thing I like about this product is the shine it gives my hair. If I don't straighten my hair, I don't really see the shine effect of this product. But baby when I do straighten my hair it looks fucking fabulous... just watch the video again haha.
#3: Davroe Straightening Balm
Davroe straightening balm is the freaking bomb! The reason I love using this product is that it gives my hair a really really smooth finish after straightening. It also helps decrease that hideous "poof" you sometimes when you straighten your hair. If you have never heard of a straightening balm, I would also highly recommend trying one out. it'll be your new bestie.
#4: Sebastian Trillant Heat Protector
Look, I'm just going to say this now. Frizzy hair or not use a fucking heat protector! too many people race around blow drying and straightening their mop not giving a fuck and then wonder why their hair ends up all brittle, broken and shitty...

So as I was saying. I’ve literally fallen in love with how my hair is looking now and I think I’ve finally decided that I’m not going to be getting any sort of undercut in the near future. I’m just too attached to it. I also have set a new goal of having no hair goals at all as I just seem to get happier as it grows.
I also want to focus in more on the mens long hair community I’m building over on Facebook as well as the new subreddit for all those guys out there who find themselves on google searching for things such as “how to grow your hair out men”, “awkward stage mens”, “long hair men”, “grow your hair out guys”, “awkward stage mens hair growth”, “long hair men awkward stage”, & “how to grow hair faster men” just to name a thousand common search terms that I’m currently seeing lol. In fact, one of those search terms is probably how you found me...
No, but really, there does seem to be an increasingly large amount of interest now about how to deal with the awkward stage and the need for advice on how grow your hair without looking bad and to be honest, that’s exactly why I’m making this sort of content for you guys and pretty much why the group exists in the first place, you know?
There’s also a few other really good mens hair YouTubers starting to emerge now with a focus on hair tips for men who are growing their hair out. Luca Santangelo hair videos have been some pretty inspiring ones that I’ve seen lately and his hair is starting to look great! Not sure if he’s going to the man bun or not but he’s kicking butt with the content right now. One of his latest videos called “Hair Tips I wish I Knew Sooner” was a pretty watch and I’d strongly recommend you check it out after this video.
So, what else is happening other than me talking about the best hair for guys? Loving things about yourself usually gets pushed to the back of our to do list simply because we try and be our best at all times and it doesn't always work, which can result in negative emotions like not feeling good enough and not feeling an self worth.
In lots of cases when people look in the mirror they automatically choose to look the shitty things about themselves, like pimples or freckles or cellulite probably because it doest appear the way they want it to, rather than choosing to look and admire the good things about themselves.
training yourself to CHOOSE to look at the good things about you is one of the most healthiest choices you can make for yourself.

If you’re on the long hair bandwagon right now and need some mens long hair inspiration, you are definitely watch the right video lol.
Now I know a lot of you come here for the long hair content, you come here for the hair growth content, which is awesome, but I also kind of just wanted to go out on a whim here and sort of give credit to other people on the internet that I get my long hair inspo from.
It's probably to my detriment that I'm showing you other people that have cool long hair, but seriously this is where I get all of my long hair inspo and my looks.
I’m like a style chameleon really. I usually get my inspiration from many different places and I put it all together to make up my own image.
There's a few mens long hair profiles in particular that I follow on instagram for different reasons, which we're gonna going be having a look at in this video.

Now, if you haven't heard of Brock O'hurn yet, I'd be very surprised. So, years and years and years ago, probably about maybe six years or seven years, when the man bun started to get really popular this guy was everywhere on TV.
He had a real trend for the man bun going on. Now, the thing I like about Brock O'hurn is he has super, super long hair but-- but at the same time has a really buff appearance. He's probably the more masculine long haired guy that I could think of or that I follow, and the thing I really like about him is body inspo as well as the long hair.

Wwith lithunium, I don't think I would ever wear the same things that he does, and the type of content he makes is more, it's more androgynous and really like out there. He plays a lot with makeup and does a lot of braiding and wigs and things like that.
He does have long hair, like generally, but he also plays around with the wigs and really likes to switch up his look.

I’m currently 27 and about 4 or 5 years ago I told myself I wanted to grow my hair out. So I would start my journey but then peer pressure from my family and friends to cut my hair was always thrown in my face. Then my hair would start to look bad so I would give in and cut it.
I repeated this process about 3 times and then I had given up on growing it out. Then I discovered Thomas on YouTube. His Inspo kept me pushing through. Every-time I thought about cutting my hair all I had to do was pull up one of his hair videos. I have grown it out for a year now. I no longer have thoughts of cutting it. It’s a lot longer and now i feel like it’s a part of my personality.
