At the start, go through a false wall on the left to find a heart increasing the magic meter. Up ahead, there are some frog duos and signposts. Board a vertical platform and navigate the higher ground to find an Energy Tank. Reach the checkpoint and fall through where a platform appears to find a capsule that will give Zero the ability to break blocks while jumping. Ride the platform and nose rods will jump by. When you see spikes in the ceiling, get off the platform and go to the next checkpoint. Frog drones will drop some debris when you’re under them. Cross some spike pits by riding some moving platforms and you’ll reach the next checkpoint. Ride a platform with spikes by the walls and watch for spikes that are over the ride. Enter the cap doors and you’ll take on Wire Sponge. Wire Sponge will use its arm to hook to the wall and pull itself towards the wall. If it hooks to the ceiling, it will release small pellets. When mad, it will summon lightning from above. The Fire Wave will do more damage. Defeat this boss and you’ll receive the Strike Chain for X or Lightning for Zero.

Back outside, a big flying battleship fortress known as the Plasma Frigate will shoot below-zero chunks of ice, freezing the city over. Drayden is forced to declare a state of emergency to the entire city and his Haxorus attacks an ice pillar, only to get no damage results at all. Zinzolin and other grunts will burst onto the scene and scatter at various parts of the city in search of the DNA Splicers.

Phoebe uses Ghost type Pokémon. Her first Dusclops has a 3-way combo of using Confuse Ray, Curse, then Protect. Furthermore, Shadow Punch is a never-miss move. The first Banette will use Will-O-Wisp to burn targets and Grudge to make one lose all of its PP on one move when fainting. Sableye will use Double Team to become harder to hit. The 2nd Banette will use Facade when suffering on status problems. The 2nd Dusclops will use Ice Beam to sometimes freeze opponents, Rock Slide to make opponents flinch, and Earthquake for big damage, even for those who try to Dig. A move like Shadow Ball would be a great fight-back move for the opponents.

As the scene side-scrolls, you can’t afford to make any mistakes from here. Watch for pink crates falling above one hole at the start. Jump over some acid pits and watch for acid pouring from above. At a section with conveyor belts, the yellow crates are bigger than the pink ones. Next, you’ll see hydraulic presses, so be careful not to be crushes. At the next section with acid pits, hydraulic presses on the ground may try to push you towards electric barriers, so make haste to jump to the next landing. Once you go far, you’ll take on a missile dreadnought. The first thing to aim at is the glowing core on the nose. After the core on the nose is gone, the dreadnought will move a little bit, and be sure to dodge the flames expelling from the boosters. The turntables by the nose and tail will release pellets, so be sure to dodge what you can. Destroy the core on the tail and you’ll next take on the master parasite. The master parasite will walk up towards you and throw punches once close enough. The only way you can attack it is by shooting at its head. Defeat this parasite and you have completed the game.
