At this point, I would recommend that all ChromeOS Flex users use the stable channel, as it seems to be far enough along in its development to offer a good experience. I have had nothing but issues with dev channel version 104.
I decided to pick up a $99 Chromebook tablet from Lenovo to see how real Chrome OS compares to Chrome OS Flex. Here are my thoughts on the device itself and some initial reactions. Let me know if there is anything else you want me to test out on this device.

Instructions on how to get Steam running on Chrome OS Flex (and probably regular Chrome OS too). Here are the Linux terminal commands used, if you want to copy/paste:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libc6-i386

sudo apt-get update

ChromeOS Flex (and regular Chrome OS) has just been updated to version 111! Truth be told there is not a whole lot new in this release, but they did add a keyboard shortcuts menu and also some new bluetooth features. Let me know if I missed something! Chrome OS Flex is the free version of Chrome OS that you can install on any device.

Now that ChromeOS Flex has hit version 104, I decided to try it again on my 2011 MacBook Air to see if the situation has improved any. It has! Runs faster, SD Card works, Linux works. It's a whole new ballgame!
