A group of activists held a peaceful "420 farmers market" in downtown Vancouver since 2015, when Trudeau was elected to legalize cannabis. In late 2017/early 2018, the activists were the target of "Project Apprentice", a plot to demoralize and dissolve the grassroots movement, making way for a monopoly of government insiders and corporate profiteers.
