Hey Gang Lets talk Digital Art! So Throughout the month of October I decided to try and make my most Detailed Digital Illustration to Date. I recently bought a new Ipad with the first gen apple pencil, so I have been diving into the world of procreate . Loaded with my new procreate brushes, i set about trying to create an epically detailed digital illustration. Each day i added a couple of characters/props and after a month the whole illustration was complete. I I Spent over 150 hours on this A2 illustration and so I wanted to create a little process video of those many hours , condensed into a 30 second time lapse. If you have the Procreate app, then you know this is a very handy feature. Unfortunately i didn't realise that i had to preset the video to 4k, so it may be a bit pixelated. Ill defo make sure its recording at 4k for the future videos. Hey Gang, Im back with another Lo-fi album cover process video/ tutorial. You may remember my previous video " How to make lofi artwork" , which was created for bedroom beatmaster Dialekt. This time I was contacted by 'Quiet Prophecy' and commissioned to create an album cover depicting a sunny Jamaican poolside. I had a lot of fun with this one and thought I should probably do a more updated version of the video i made last year. I cover all the same steps, but give a slightly deeper look into how I approach album cover design . I also give some tips and tricks to make the process easier, for those attempting to make thier own covers at home. This video is also useful if you are creating album art under a different genre or interested in other aesthetics. I am against using album templates or royalty free covers. Its super easy to throw something together that is unique and doesn't have to be as detailed as the artwork in this video. I have chosen to work in a way that suites both traditional and digital artists. So if you feel more confident with one method of working, you can create you own cover completely hand drawn or you can make a photoshop album cover is you prefer........This is not a drawing or photoshop tutorial, as i am sure if you are looking for a guide like this, you already have some creative skills.
