Today we look at a classic microphone from Sennheiser, the MD441U. This mic is fairly flat for a dynamic mic, it offers a super-cardioid polar pattern, and has a built in 5-way high pass dial and high boost switch. You can get some very vintage tones out of this thing with the high boost switch off, and if you’re looking for a more modern tone, the high boost provides that sound. However, the high boost sounds a bit artificial and on spoken word the flat mode can sound a bit nasally. HQ Audio Of Review: https://podcastage.com/rev/se7 Today i review the sE Electronics sE7, a small diaphragm condenser which offers a nice low end, neutral mids and a lifted top end which gives you some liveliness but it's not overdone. Like most SDCs it doesn't do great with plosives, but does pretty well with off axis coloration. I also think this mic can exagerate a little bit of sibilance.
