I think more service businesses would reach out with video far more often if they knew it wouldn't take a whole week just to make one of them.
Totally agree. And over the last 10 years I've developed a few shortcuts to streamline the video-making process, but with an eye toward keeping the quality as high as possible.
Here are my top 10 favorite shortcuts to quality production.
In fact, they helped me make this video in record time. :)

It's very different when you shoot with a black video background. Though white screen videos are all the rage, there are times when a black background is really the way to go. This video will explain when it's best to use one and how to set it up so that the screen stays dark while you're really well-lit.
So a black video background presents entirely new opportunities. It isn't just a matter of mixing it up for the sake of variety. There's real purpose in making this choice.
Black screen is easier to do than white screen, but that doesn't make it any less critical to follow 2 or 3 important guidelines that will make your videos look very professional and compelling, especially if you use them in the optimum way.
Watch the video and see why shooting with a black video background can change the way you relate to your audience.
Here's a few previous videos shot on blackscreen:

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? Don't you hate that plans hardly ever come together?
That's just life of course. It may have nothing to do with anything you've done or not done, but only that the world spins on its axis and butterflies flap their wings.
If you've ever thought about this, you might appreciate knowing that you can transform an apparent failure into something that isn't just tolerable, but nearly miraculous.
Even better, you can then turn around and use this in your own stories.
Let's look at two wonderful movies that demonstrate how you do this.

Facebook video might be all the rage, but videos with lots of YouTube views seem to get more respect and carry more authority.
If you're doing business video marketing and haven't been using this technique, you might be missing out on a surprisingly effective way to boost your rankings or those of your customers.
In short, online video advertising has come of age and you can get an enormous bang for the buck right here, right now.
Watch now...and judge for yourself.

In consultative sales, so much happens below the surface that language almost gets in the way.
Here's how to use a very simple turn of phrase to spring-load curiosity about what you do...even if the first twenty results on Google seem to do that same thing.
It will also give you an answer to the surprisingly difficult question: "What do you do?"

So Google Authorship is no more. We can't get those spiffy thumbnails next to our original content so now it's going to be much harder to stand out.
Or is it? What if your stuff couldn't be gamed, spoofed or stolen? What if it could follow you around wherever you went, assuring the world that your stuff is your stuff?
And what if it grew in value the longer it was out there?
We might even call that...authorship.

There’s a scary secret at the heart of Direct Marketing. So little of it is under your control. After all, you can’t make people buy unless you have a monopoly.
So mostly you hear people shout. Those who shout the loudest often win. The flip side of shouting is invisibility. And so nearly everyone falls into this two-sided trap on their way to Authority Isle.
Try to escape from the trap and you make it tighter, like a Chinese finger puzzle.
So if you’ve ever felt like this, just know there is a way to do marketing that you and your audience can love, even if you do feel trapped otherwise. It’s also a GPS-direct route to Authority Isle.
No shouting required.

The theory that you can't have too much light for green screen has been blown to pieces. That's good news, but it takes a different kind of technology to make it work.
I introduced it here: https://youtu.be/4w34iBA7XA0
It's available now, and this video is about how to cut your lighting and space cost. But in doing so, it ups your quality rather dramatically.
To make the most out of this revolution in green screen, you may want to get your free copy of The Ultimate Small Room Green Screen Guide, freshly updated and revised for 2024.

What can you do to help, right from where you are? That was the question that came up for me a couple of weeks ago. And the answer was to empower people to get out of this crisis in better shape than they went into it.
There’s nothing for sale here, but I may well be able to help you kick out some big rocks currently blocking your path.

Five words. That's all it takes to start attracting super-fans.
But we have objections.
One, we know so much and we even want to know more before we take that big step into the scary unknown. That can become so complicated that at some point we can forget how to tie our own shoelaces!
Sometimes we just get "ambitious". And that's when things really go sideways.
I know this from painful experience. Really. Painful. Kills your confidence. You don't want to go there. Seriously.
That's why I say over and over that 80% (maybe more) of this is an inner game.
This is one critical twist, though it takes only three minutes to explain. :)
