Is it a good idea start my work in the IT field from self-employment and self-study everything I need to know like programming languages?
I am a 27-year-old female. Computers have always been my hobby but I am a master of arts so I don't have any qualifications in this field.
I can say that I am quite computer savvy and I know HTML, CSS and have a good knowledge of operation of computers. However, I am no specialist (at least not yet).
Two years ago I dropped my job to pursue my dream and started creating websites. I now have two websites and come income from AdSense and Amazon Affiliate program. If the numbers keep rising, I will soon be able to sustain myself from these websites. I always wanted to be an independent entrepreneur, not an employer. Is is a good idea to stay "on my own" and learn all I need to learn or should I start in a more "traditional" way (e.g. get a degree , look for my first job and then think about self-employment)?
I am almost 28, I live in eastern Europe and I need to have income and I cannot really go to university again right now but I cannot imagine myself in any other field than IT.

Even in 2014 talking to "diverse" (codeword for Black) people can be a challenge for some.
When in doubt:
-Treat the other person as if you actually believe they are a human being.
-Find the lowest common denominator to talk about - "Wow it's a hot/cold/ rainy/ sunny day"
-Feel comfortable feeling in an inferior position. Compliment the other person about something and accept the advice they give. (aka. Get off your high horse)
Conversation is based on inertia as much as anything else. Once you get it going it becomes easier and can end up being much more valuable than you would first think.

My name is Cheryl Evans and I am a long-term unemployed corporate IT individual. Unfortunately I do not have any IT certifications nor an undergraduate degree. Cyber Security is the area of expertise I ultimately want to be involved in.
I have done so much research into vocational schools, college degrees, etc. until I'm beyond insane. Your videos are very easy to follow, therefore I would appreciate if you could give me some guidance as to how I can take my knowledge and experience, turn it into a successful and profitable consulting business and ultimately become a Cyber Security expert.
Thank you for taking a few moments of your time,
-Cheryl E.

As a member of floatplane club, I have access to some Linus Media Group forum posts not publicly visible. The most recent one was regarding other YouTubers joining the platform. Basically the post was asking to suggest content creators they should invite. I suggested you, and I suggest contacting Linus if you’re interested. I think they’re getting close to the stage where they’re ready to expand to other creators. I would post a screenshot of the post, but I don’t want to risk my membership there. I tweeted at Linus and if he responds that it’s fine I’ll add a screenshot.
