Our mission: get to the heart of the Facility and activate the self-destruct protocol. Hopefully Doomguy can make it out alive, or at least sink down to a watery grave with all the monsters."
Map01 - Pressure Machine The testing ground for all initial ideas, this map took quite a few false turns before ending up as the level it is today. Hope you find the development commentary enlightening! A fairly short, breezy map that hopefully introduces the mapset concepts well and shows you an aesthetic not often seen in Doom.

"The WAD features a unique Mario theme, with textures and sprite replacements from various games in the franchise, although monsters and weapons are unchanged, and the changes to power-ups are purely cosmetic. Map19: Bingo Pool Hall Of Blood by Tarnsman and esselfortium. What a fun likkle map! It seems really scary but if you know the starting order, things get wrapped up quickly ... just watch out for those archies! All 22 of 'em!

"Heartland is an eight-level partial conversion developed exclusively for the Eternity Engine, created by Paul DeBruyne (skillsaw). It was first released on the Doomworld forums March 4, 2021, with the final release being uploaded to the idgames archive on March 25, 2021. The WAD makes extensive use of EDF in order to provide an enhanced roster of enemies and weapons. The new monsters are adapted from the Realm 667 "Beastiary", while coding for the new overhaul weapons was provided by Xaser. Heartland also includes several smaller changes such as smooth animations, new weapon sounds, rocket trails, and blood effects. It uses the OTEX texture pack and features a custom soundtrack composed by Stuart Rynn (stewboy).
Heartland was awarded one of the 2021 Cacowards."

Map02 - Bruce R. & Son Construction Co. Let the blind runs commence! This mapset is vibing really hard from the get go with the first map and this one ... there's such a sense of scale and verticality that meshes so well with the textures used and, well, everything, to deliver a really solid, complete package. And this is just map02! What is to come, I wonder?!

I love Dark Forces. LOVE it. It's a shame it has so few levels, but the levels it has are perfection. Awesome atmosphere, swell music, and the archviles are pretty darn cool too.

"Altars of Madness is a 12-level PWAD for Doom II using Boom-compatible source ports, plus a short outro map. It was first released by Alex Decker (myolden) in June 2022 and subsequently uploaded to the idgames archive on July 9, 2022. All maps are relatively small in size and can be finished in under 10 minutes, with a medium to hard difficulty level, focusing on short, compact combat puzzles. A death exit is placed at the end of each map, forcing pistol starts. The WAD comes with a custom soundtrack that comprises MIDI renditions of tunes from various video games, plus a few songs from the Doom community, featuring no bespoke tracks. All maps in the WAD are named after metal songs."
