I wonder if this is how the Sega CD Space Ace demo was supposed to play?
This Space Ace demo has the first "stage" of the game. After you do one successful run, a menu pops up where you can also view a video-only demo of either Dragon's Lair or Brain Dead 13. Pressing start at any point in these demos will send you back to the Space Ace demo.

Not really using enough of the anime movie for these... it's partly because I wanted to wait for that film remaster to come around. It's been taking it's time, though.
Thanks for watching! As with all YouTube channels, likes, subscriptions and comments are welcome - but I presume that is to be expected, yes?

An early demo of Rayman with no sound effects. There's two selectable levels. Some elements seem to resemble the Atari Jaguar prototypes more than the final game.

The October 1997 Tech Saturn demo of the obscure 3D fighter "Goiken Muyou: Anarchy in the Nippon" for Saturn. This only has two playable characters, but there are five Vs. CPU rounds for which 3 of the other characters are present as AI-only opponents for.
A similar demo is in Flash SegaSaturn Vol. 20

A demo of the PC-Engine CD version of Popful Mail.
That opening cutscene bug, I'm not entirely sure what's up with that - possibly bad emulation. There is a similar demo in PC Engine Hyper Catalog DUO-RX, and it has the exact same issue.
This demo goes through.... I guess it'd be called 3 stages? But yeah. Anyway, there is at least one cutscene near the end that's clearly been altered - the cutscene that ends the demo, that is, with clear promotional messages.
