Handling images can be quite tricky in knowledge work. The Archive App gives you the technical premise to create your own work flow.

A short episode, because Chapter 5 isn't all that interesting. It sports a couple of curious anecdotes that led me to papers and books that I want to check out -- but the premise of the chapter itself was pretty weak. The web of notes grew nevertheless, and I experimented more with placeholders for the papers that I haven't processed.

nvALT's powerful full-text search allows me to view note backlinks. I simply have to search for the note ID (in this case: "201503291909") and among the search results will be
1. the note itself, and
2. all notes linking to it.
It's cumbersome, but the basic functionality is there.

In this episode, I process the few highlights from Chapter 1 of David Epstein's book "Range". I end up with many more links than last time already. I also employ the method of creating a forward-link, i.e. adding a link to a note that does not exist but that I need at a certain location in my structure note, then add the details. The upside: you already have 1 connection!
- Automatization frees capacity for new ideas (A. N. Whitehead)
- Environments for skill acquisition (D. Kahneman/G. Klein)
- Savants don't automatically turn into geniuses (E. Winner)
Please tell us how you would like the format to evolve.

Weird science ... in this episode, I have a hard time believing what I see in Chapter 3 of David Epstein's book "Range".
