Pakistan's Foreign Office, on 26 June, confirmed that a member (presumably India) of the five-nation summit BRICS 'blocked Pakistan's participation' in a dialogue for non-member states.
The BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China & South Africa) brings together five of the largest developing countries in the world, having 41% of the global population, 24% of the global GDP and 16% of the global trade.

After ouster of Imran Khan in a no-confidence move, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz's) president and younger brother of Nawaz Sharif was elected as 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He secured 174 votes.
Moments before his election, his opponent in Prime Minister's election, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and all members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf resigned and walked-out of the house. Provincial governors have also started resigning from their posts.
Meanwhile, President of Pakistan is also proceeding on leave and will not administer oath to the newly elected PM.

Adani is now ahead of LVMH's Bernard Arnault and Amazon's Jeff Bezos. Elon Musk remains the richest man in the world with net worth more than $270 billion.
Adani is a self-made entrepreneur from Ahmedabad in the western Indian state of Gujrat who started his group in 1988 as a commodity trading business. A 23 years' man, a University of York student, has been arrested after eggs were thrown at the British King Charles III during a visit to the York. 23-year old protester was heard to shout "this country was built on the blood of slaves."
People in the crowd started chanting "God save the King" and "shame on you" at the demonstrator. Meanwhile, King Charles III continued shaking hands with dignitaries as the eggs flew in his direction. The eggs missed the King.
Expert analysts, however, have voiced concern over the incident stating that the near miss with the eggs being thrown toward the King shows how vulnerable the King can be on such occasions.

King Charles III has hired Warrant Officer Paul Burns to play the bagpipes every morning to wake him up. Burns was hired by late Queen Elizabeth II in 2021. Burns will play the bagpipes at 9am everyday, a tradition that goes on since 1843.
The UK's new monarch has also asked that his bed, furniture and even photos be moved when he travels, and that his belongings arrive a day before he does.
He also asks his morning shower to be at a certain temperature, bathtub stopper be arranged in a certain way and towel be placed in a prescribed manner. Also, his pajamas and shoelaces be ironed everyday.

The World Bank predicts that Pakistan's real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow at 2.0% in the fiscal year 2022-23 (FY23).
However, the report warns of a "sharp, long-lasting slowdown" with global growth expected to slow to 1.7%, which is roughly half of the pace predicted in June 2022.
The report cites high inflation and rising interest rates as reasons for the slowdown in growth. The situation in Pakistan is further exacerbated by low foreign exchange reserves, large fiscal and current account deficits, and the recent severe flooding.
