Holy cow! The AC is out?!!! One darn thing after another! Back up on the roof to check it out, and found a fan start capacitor with a dead short. It’s almost 5pm on Friday and all the supply shops are closing quickly. Back in the truck again, (at least I’m not on the roof) I run down to the only one I could quickly find online and present the pictures of the caps. They have them in stock (See my Rant) It works, success… not so quickly the next day it hums again for a moment then fires up making me nervous. The day after it stalls again. I’m thinking maybe a bearing in the fan. And the shops want a fortune. I find one online for what I paid for the 2 caps. It's 105° out today and I’m doing major surgery on the rear AC. Well if I get it right, I should save $1,000.00 bucks. Get-er-done and it runs great thank goodness. Another disaster was averted. Stay Handy my Friends… Hope we see you again next week.
