One day at the beach I got the idea to crawl up and down the shore and threw in sets of pushups and lunges along the way. I crawled almost until failure. The following three days I experienced a lot of muscle soreness. I was hooked!.... Do this workout in your favorite outdoor surroundings. There's no equipment needed, just a willing body. Go for it!

Caimans are common in the Amazon. During my stay at Amazon Antonio's Lodge in Amazonas our guide, Jungle James, took us out one night on the Urubu River to spot caimans. This region of the Mojave National Preserve in California contains several volcanic cinder cones that were still active 10,000 years ago. Bear crawling is the only way to climb up due to the steep slopes covered with loose cinders. The view from the top is spectacular!
