First attempt taking a video while recording and syncing it with the audio. Also mixed in the camera audio though it mainly just picked up the guitar and some pedals being clicked on/off. My recording set up consists of a Soundcraft MTK12 mixer going into a DAW (Ardour) via USB out which allows for multitrack recording. I run my effects pedals in 2 effects loops through the mixers aux outputs. The 2 loops are split for mono and stereo effects with the mono loop being run into the stereo one. I run a mono looper at the start and a stereo looper at the end that way I can loop something in mono, process it with mono/stereo effects, then loop it in stereo. Though I mostly use the stereo looper. Going into the mixer I have 2 synthesizers, a vintage/analog Roland JX8P and a digital Novation Ultranova. For drums I have a Roland Handsonic 10 though still not the best at recording drum tracks. I use an old stereo field recording mic as well as an offbrand tube condenser microphone for acoustics, mainly tongue drum and some classical and steel string acoustic guitar (none in this recording though) For electric guitar I mainly play through a bugera 333xl tube amp, and sometimes a Carvin BR510 bass amp or even DI. Have a few guitars though all were pretty cheap, mainly play a beautiful Vietnamese knockoff strat and an old epiphone SG that was actually my first electric. Have modded the electronics of both though the strat needs some more work. Also built my first guitar recently (from parts) but still need to finish the wiring.
