When you are installing a irrigation sprinkler valve, make sure you always put a valve box over it. Never just bury the valve in the ground. Always put valves in valve boxes. You will need to get back to that valve for maintenance and repair.
This simple irrigation installation tip will save you time, money and frustration. If you start the install of a zone and need to stop and come back later, always right on the pipe with a sharpe what the pipe goes to or what the zone is. That way when you come back, you will know what that particular pipe does and can finish the sprinkler zone. This has saved me so many times.

Replacing a Hunter sprinkler valve solenoid on your irrigation system can be easy with these tips, but can be hard if not done correctly. Dealing with a faulty solenoid can be frustrating, but with these tips, you'll be back to a smoothly running system in no time.
In this video, we emphasize the importance of turning off the water before replacing the solenoid to prevent pressurized water from shooting out of the valve where the solenoid is located. When there is too much water where the solenoid is, it makes it extremely hard to thread a new solenoid back in, that’s why it is better to shut the water off before you start replacing the sprinkler valve solenoid. Whether you opt to shut off the water at the backflow device, the master valve, or use the flow control feature if available, ensuring no water pressure is crucial for a hassle-free replacement. This will keep you from cross threading the solenoid and messing up the threads and the gasket cause the it to leak. Don't let a faulty solenoid disrupt your irrigation system any longer. Follow these hunter sprinkler valve solenoid replacement tips and it will make the job done right and easy.
