Today i'm reviewing Culprit's first full-length album Sonder. Culprit demonstrate how three best friends with a dedication towards their craft, have fused together to create a progressive rock and emo-rock record that shows off the band´s potential.
INFO: After completing SONDER in late 2016, Culprit ran a successful independent PledgeMusic campaign (to help raise funds for additional merch/vinyl, touring & global social media exposure).

Info: Serj Tankian is an Armenian-American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, painter, entrepreneur… let’s just say he’s done a lot of things throughout his life. But if there are a couple of things that he cares about more than anything else, it’s gotta be art and politics. He’s always been the type of person who wants to expose the truth and create a better world. And his most powerful medium for doing that has always been music. Most people know him from being the vocalist of SOAD, but he’s also been a part of a ton of other art projects through the years. Let's take a closer look.

Video info:
The Growlers is an indie rock band from southern California and was formed back in 2006. They’re known for mixing psychedelic, garage and surf rock sounds into something that comes off as fresh and classic at the same time. The band’s line-up has changed continuously over the years, but vocalist Brooks Nielsen and guitarist Matt Taylor were the ones who started the band in the beginning. So far they’ve released 7 studio albums, gradually evolved their sound and created their own festival. Some fans even go so far as to say they created their own genre of music, beach goth. But i’ll leave it up to you to approve of this genre by the end of the video.
In this video we’ll take a brief look at their discography, musical evolution and one of their more celebrated songs Night Ride. I’m LIE from Lie Likes Music and this is the history, sounds and riffs of the Growlers.

INFO: Lina Tullgren is a New England kid. She grew up in southern Maine, and she recorded her debut EP, Wishlist, in Jamaica Plain, the vaguely suburban neighborhood at the end of Boston’s Orange Line train. But the singer-songwriter is not exactly a kid anymore, which can be a hard thing for anyone to accept. Insecurity about getting older has inspired a lot of really great songs. Now she's released her debut album Won, and it's a neat collection of dark and sugar sweet songs.

INFO: Rivers Cuomo is most famous for being the lead vocalist, guitarist and lyricist of Weezer. The band has the reputation of being one of the best bands of the 90s and 00s, creating angsty and poppy alternative rock that lead the way after nu metal and grunge stopped being popular. The band had their hayday very early on in their career, but they still keep on pumping out new music. Keeping a closer relationship to their fans than ever before. And that’s mostly because of Rivers’ need to stay connected and grounded. Over the years he’s struggled to feel worthy of his fame and to keep on making music. For a long time he didn’t feel worthy of his fame. But because he matured as an artist, kept up a habit of meditating and made an effort to share, collaborate and even hang out with his fans, it seems like he’s able to live an amazing life and continue to do what he loves.

Today i'm reviewing David Bazan's newest album "Care". It's an emotive record that delivers an electronic folk-vibe. Although it's not closely related to rock music, Bazan's songwriting and melody craftsmanship still resembles the likes of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. Especially in this album, Bazan relies on melody and mood. Instrumentally the album remains static, but it still works!
If you're not seeing him live sometime soon, you're missing out! Click here to see one of his touching live-sessions ➜ http://bit.ly/2eb0wtT

INFO: David Bazan is an indie rock singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington. He has been the leading force behind musical projects like Pedro the Lion, Headphones and early 2006 he also started performing and recording under his own name. Kazan sees himself as a good drummer and a passable guitar player, and on his two newest records (Blanco & Care) he utilizes synths and pads to create a more electronically inspired style of music. In my eyes, he's like Trent Reznor's introverted and depressed cousin - in a good way xD
