Let's Play Dungeon Hack 08: Strange Noise or "It's a Trap!"
A strange noise gets Rage Crackrock's attention as he continues to explore the second floor of the dungeon. Death could lurk around any, or every, corner. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti1g3uMW25E
Potamus bought the three-pack of this game, NEStalgia and gave me one. It's like if NES had a pretty awesome MMORPG. Reminds me of many different games, including weird shit like MUDs. This is what FRAPS records if you just let it latch on to what the game throws out instead of DWM.
I'm Bhusura; Potamus is the one that looks like hotdog-fingered "Potamus."

Silly April Fools bullshit. But they really should add the Urbanmech.
Patch Notes April 1st, 2014
PATCH #14
Upcoming Patch - Tuesday, April 1st @ 10AM -- 1PM PDT
Patch Number: 1.3.279
Change Log
UPDATE
Greetings MechWarriors!
Welcome to the April 1st Patch!
We are proud to announce that Paul was quoted as saying "now everything is perfect and we never have to change anything ever again."
Now that April Fool's is out of the way...
Everything has gone according to plan with the 12-hour Downtime and Data Migration! We thank you for your patience while we were preparing MWO for future updates. The Launch module is progressing and we have more great teasers for the coming Clan Invasion lined up for you.
We have also changed up the Trial 'Mech offerings with the addition of a Victor Champion! The Victor Champion 'Mech with it's 10% XP boost will be available for MC purchase on April 8th.
Meanwhile, in tuning: Missile speed got toned down to the sweet spot and the turrets health has been made a bit less challenging to overcome.
You can now select one, two, or all modes to search for when looking for a match. I personally like to keep in on All just to have the maximum surprise factor in any match-up.
Don't run off yet, we wouldn't leave you with this and nothing more...
For once upon an April Fool's happy, I announced a 'Mech so shiny and fancy,
With a 30% C-bill boost for those who always need something more.
Upon the hardpoints, you will be gleaming, suddenly load-out scheming,
As you think you must be dreaming, there's a tapping at your cockpit door.
'Who is this?", you wondered, "tapping at my cockpit door."
'Huginn', the Raven Hero, some craters, and nothing more.
See you on the battlefield!
Matt Newman

After a brief hiatus, Rage Crackrock is back at work in the dungeon. This time I don't get ambushed in that long hall, the boss of the level is encountered, and the way down is found.

Commander Keen ventures through The Computer Room, negotiating several turrets and beams in the process.

This is the first time I have ever consciously chosen to do the Impossible Pogo Trick and, not to suck my own dick here, but it didn't take nearly as long as I was prepared for it to take.
"Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine is the second episode in the Goodbye, Galaxy! series. In this episode, Keen confronts the Shikadi and attempts to destroy the Omegamatic, a device the Shikadi are building to destroy the galaxy. "

In this episode I find another leaky base and repair it pretty quickly. I then steal some crystal from some giant octopi.
"With FarSky, you take the role of Nathan who got lost in the Ocean after the crash of his submarine. You need to learn how to survive in the depths of the Ocean.
Use the environment to gather resources, build a base to refill your oxygen and manage all your items, craft equipment and weapons to explore and protect yourself in the Ocean depths, create an in-base farm or go fish hunting to feed yourself,...
Your ultimate goal is to find all the pieces of your submarine, fix it and reach the surface. You can also choose to play in Sandbox mode to enjoy the game freely with a wider map!
All maps are randomly generated to immerse you in an unknown world."

Here's the first two levels. I guess the critical information we learn is: Keen is dreaming, and we need to collect those weird bombs.
"Keen Dreams, or Commander Keen in Keen Dreams, is a Commander Keen game created after the Keen 3 and before Keen 4, and is often considered "Keen 3.5" or otherwise as coming in between the two main series of Keen games. It is notable for its lack of a pogo stick, Neural Stunner or raygun, with Keen using Flower Power to temporarily incapacitate foes. It also lacks SGA lettering, presumably because the game doesn't take place in space. The game centers around a general theme of vegetables.
The episode was not widely released until some time after the Goodbye, Galaxy! series, often earning it the title of the "Lost episode."
Keen Dreams was ported to the Android platform by the Super Fighter Team and released in June 2013. It can be downloaded from Google Play.
In September 2014, a community funded effort purchased the rights to Keen Dreams and released the source code under the GPL. It is available on GitHub."
