Today we will look at a House of Lords Select Committee on Economic Affairs about quantitative easing entitled: "Quantitative Easing: a Dangerous Addiction?"
Our conclusion is that the Bank of England, and even some of its critics, are giving it the benefit of the doubt by saying that the Bank of England is just following its mandate and not helping the government finance its deficits.
The people who will be hurt by this policy of deficit financing or debt monetization will be savers.
