Pokemon Brilliant Diamond - Part 2 Oreburgh City (First Gym)
I am releasing this late, but we have arrived at the first gym, which is very reminiscent of RBY. I am not sure if that is intentional or not, but the bottom line is that Piplup is able to get through them pretty quickly until Roarke's final guy shows up and stirs up some trouble. Luckily, I have something in my pocket to deal with him. With our first badge, we can set out for the next town, but it looks like we will not be flying through this as fast as I ended up doing for Shield. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiDaZfF2vEI
A somewhat short video, but an important one as this is the game's last optional dungeon and the final recruitments. As of this video, we have ALL of the heroes and anyone we are missing is story related and will be joining us as we press forward.
Allaby is a free recruitment, as you merely need to talk to her at the bar/restaurant. Afterward, you can build her singing area and there is probably a minigame here that I never played.
Dijkstra is an important recruit as this dungeon is where we can get Orichalcum. There are only two gathering spots for it, and only one can be farmed efficiently. Like the Sacred Tree Chips, you will need to get some in order to unlock the gathering missions where the rest will come from. However, since this is almost the end of the game, I won't bother waiting too much to let them accumulate.
As for the dungeon, this is also the place where you can get some fairly powerful Beigoma. If you need to do that quest, try to get the ones here as they can help you take down the spinadiers.
So from here, it will be non-stop story segments. I was hoping there would have been a bigger optional dungeon, preferably with three groups like in FF6A, but it never materialized. As such, there are still quite a few heroes who I never fielded and just don't have the time or resources to send out. Sorry if you will not see your favorites, but it is just one more issue with the game itself.

A short video, but this is how brief our introduction to the final team is. I have to warn you to not listen too closely to C when he speaks as that will reveal his identity. While doing audio checks in editing this video, I see what people mean by it is not very well hidden. My original theory going into this was that C would be Cedric, the missing Prince, but that is not the case. I won't go into spoilers here, so rest assured.
As for this video, we get to field the assassins from the story in the previous game. They seem so-so, but maybe they can come into something as they go. As for C, it is interesting that he seems to have two different sets of moves depending on whether he is wearing his mask or not. It will have to wait until a later video before we can see what the doll has to offer...

With the Reverie Corridor behind us, we enter the Ancient Battlefield and make our way to the Sun Temple where the climax plays out. We are forced to cut through Heiyue thugs, and have a finale against two old enemies teaming up that even has a time limit restriction to go with it. Can't ever catch a break I tell you.

The theme for this one I think is annoying monsters. Khezu can surround itself in electricity while Rakna can do an AOE fire attack.
At this point, there shouldn't be anything we need from Khezu anymore as there have been ample opportunities to farm it. However, gunners may need recoil decorations, and you need Rakna Kadaki parts in order to make them. That means you may have to face off against the spider a few times in order to get them. Worse yet, if you want to go for a shotgun or sticky build, there are some Rakna parts used in these sets, meaning you may have to go beyond just getting the decorations you need.
I have a little trouble here as at this stage, I don't have the claws for stat support, I don't have my damage charm, and I don't have the resources to just go crazy on monsters. It will still be a little while before I reach the point where I can cut loose on them.

Both parts of chapter 14 are here since the second one is less than ten minutes long and has no player involvement. For the first part, we need to do the mental battle and chapter battle since they come swinging out the gate. At this stage, I am trying to use the mental battles to boost some of the characters I never used in anticipation of the "true" ending. When we get to the chapter battle, we just need to pick off the VIPs to end it.
As for the bosses here, they have a lot of status immunities, but not to everything. Put the correct status on the correct enemy, and you can basically shut them down. Sadly, for mages, they still pack a lot of physical strength, so make sure you bring healers. If you do this correctly, you can use the enemy fortifications against them, so be creative in how you want to bring them down.

With the other rabbit removed from the romance options, we only have Altina here who is fairly tame compared to Musse. Things start off with her wanting to help protect Ymir before heading to the Black Workshop. Then once those have played out, you have your conclusion on the beach.

Another trio of ranked games and after seeing teammate stupidity, I am in zero-f's mode, hence the Ninetales. This trend will continue into tomorrow's video as well (maybe the day after too) as I am just fed up seeing this crap repeatedly. It is starting to feel like the game is decided by which team receives the bigger idiot. I want to be optimistic, but with League changing to resemble this game, I am losing hope.

Here is the rampage quest that is required to progress the story where we meet Magnamalo. I didn't look at anything in advance for this, so I am essentially playing it blind with only a few tips in my pocket. As a result, I would say things are far from optimized.
There will be a multiplayer one coming up in a little while where you can see I fare little better. We will need to wait until the guys get together again to try it. Blue seemed to enjoy it with more people.
