Regina Balawan Theme: Worship - Chapter 3 Date: July 23, 2021 WHAT IS WORSHIP? - Ascribing worth to God who is worthy.  REVELATION 4:8-11, God is worthy of all the adorations for He is Holy, Holy, Holy. For example we will describe a person using 3 adjective words to describe him, kapag inulit-ulit mong sinabi yung isang salita sa kanya ay ibig sabihin karapat-dapat siya sa pagsasalarawan mo sa kanya. God is so Holy, Holy, Holy and worthy because of His Holiness.  ISAIAH 6:3, Prophet Isaiah described the Lord God Almighty as Holy, Holy, Holy.  EXODUS 15:11, Majestic in Holiness. - Worship is a natural reflects as a human to the presence of a Holy God as we express our in honoring, revering, glorifying and serving Him every day a surrendered life. We give all to Him as the life most important life being was treasure, Kung ano ang pagkakakilala natin sa Diyos is that is how we express our honoring or revering Him as a Holy God. MATTHEW 6:21, if we treasure God in our life that is where our heart is also. - Through worship is the only way to know and do God’s will. ROMANS 12:1-2, this is the true and proper worship. This is the will of God in our lives His good, pleasing and perfect will to offer ourselves as our act of true and proper worship. WHAT DOES IT MEAN “WORSHIP OF GOD”? 1. In REVELATION 4:8, Worship is an activity in heaven day and night. 2. In PSALMS 5:7, it is always intertwined or goes together with bowing or surrender. a. GENESIS 24:26, they bow in reverence. b. EXODUS 4:13, the Israelites bowed low and worship c. 2 CHRONICLES 20:18, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed down to in revering to God’s Holiness. d. 2 CHRONICLES 29:28, the whole Congregation bowed down in worship of how Holy, Holy, Holy God is. 3. In LUKE 4:8, in worshipping God it always leads to service. a. We worship Him and served Him only. And pinakaunang nakaupo sa ating puso ay ang Panginoon para magampanan natin ang ating paglilingkod na tunay sa Diyos. b. ISAIAH 6:1-10, are we worthy? Worship is not just singing. The true & proper worship is the way we live (ROMANS 12:1-2), as a Christians is we offer ourselves as a please or living sacrifice. Isaiah have seen how Holy God is. We should revere, honor and give the highest reverence of His Holiness. The Bible says that God is Holy, Holy, Holy. The Bible never says that love, love, love or mercy, mercy, mercy or wrath, wrath, wrath or justice, justice, justice but the Bible says only Holy, Holy, Holy. Isaiah has lamented of his sinfulness with untamed lips when he saw the Holiness of the Lord. c. A vision of God’s Holiness rescues our worship from being superficial and makes it passionate and profound. d. EXODUS 3:1-6, God revealed Himself to Moses through the burning bush “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” – you need be cleansed first especially to those who are leading worship songs, Bible studies, Prayer meetings or Spiritual activities before leading. Even the congregation their worship will not ascend if we are not ready or led by the Holy Spirit. We have to be willing to be used by God. GOD'S HOLINESS MEANING: 1. To be holy is to be distinct or separate, in a class by oneself – the primary meaning of Holy is separate, set apart, and uniquely holy. God is supernaturally separate. In EXODUS 15:1 God is highly exalted. In 1 SAMUEL 2:2 there is no one Holy like the Lord. 2. To be holy is to be morally pure – when things are made holy when they are consecrated they are set apart unto purity. In worship we need to be pure. 3. For God to be Holy is for Him to be Holy in relation to every aspect of His nature & character. It reminds us that God's love is holy love, justice is holy justice, mercy is holy mercy, knowledge is holy knowledge and God's spirit is the Holy Spirit. THE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT REVERING GOD'S HOLINESS: 1. The life of Moses – was not able to reach the promise land because he did not treat God as Holy before the whole assembly. 2. 2. The life of Uzzah - Not following the instruction - Uzza died because he touched the Ark of covenant. They have 3 reactions, first they were terrified, second they said it’s a ghost, and third they cried out in fear. Jesus replied to His Disciples with 3 answers, first take courage, second it is I and third don’t be afraid. Always remember brothers & sisters, whatever happens in our lives has the corresponding word of Christ in it Let me give you 3 examples: 1. Man said, I cannot forgive myself and my past is always dragging me down - But, Jesus said, you are forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness (1 JOHN 1:9). 2. Man said, I have no hope and I am not worthy before you my God - But, Jesus said, to the woman who’s bleeding in 12 years, she was hopeless and worthless. When she put her Faith on Jesus, she was healed (physically, emotionally, mentally, financially and spiritually) on the spot and Jesus said to her, daughter live in peace. Jesus wants us to live in peace in any circumstances. If disappointments, distractions, discouragements will come, Jesus said Have Faith in Me and live in peace. 3. Let’s go back to the Disciples of Jesus, The apostle of Jesus said, it’s a ghost, but, Jesus said “It’s me”. Did you forgot who I am? Why you are in troubled, am I not real to you, why you are crying out for fear! It’s me (I’m real) How real in your life Jesus is?! Jesus our Lord, God and Savior. Always remember don’t ever-ever forget who’s Jesus in our lives. Whatever man said there is always a corresponding word of Christ in it. Ang Panginoong Hesus ay nagsasalita ng may: a. Aral b. Kahalagahan c. Karunungan *Makikita natin ang Panginoong Hesus ay hindi lamang basta aalis ng walang mga ibinibigay na babala (warning) sa mga makamundong pagkabalisa o pagaalala at kabilang ang mga tukso. *Pagdating sa mga alalahanin sa mundong ito, ang iniutos ng Panginoong Hesus ay “hanapin muna ang kaharian ng Diyos at ang katuwiran ng Diyos” – MATEO 6:33. *At tandaan mayroong nakapaloob na pangako ng Diyos sa talatang ‘yan: Kapag hinahanap muna natin ang Diyos ay binibigyan Niya tayo ng eksaktong kailangan natin (kung ano talaga ang mga pangangailangan natin, minsan sobrang blessings pa nga). II. Ano ang ibig sabihin ng “Hanapin muna (Seek first)” - Seeking in order to find, to aim at, strive after. Sa paghahanap ay mayroon tayong aksyon na gagawin at matinding effort na gagawin. Hindi mo mahahahanap ang isang bagay kapag nakaupo ka lang at wala kang ginagawa. Mga Halimbawa: Kapag nawawala ang cellphone mo ay iniisip mo lang kung saan mo ito nailagay ay mahahanap mo ba ito kapag hindi ka tatayo at iche-check sa pantalon na pinagbihisan mo, sa bag, kwarto, kusina o saan mang sulok ng iyong bahay? Ganon din sa paghahanap natin sa Diyos, kapag ang kaisipan lang natin ang pinaniniwalaan natin at hindi biblical ay mamamali talaga tayo sa pagkakilala sa Diyos pero kapag binuklat mo ang Bibliya mo at binabasa mo ito ay unti-unting ire-reveal ng Diyos kung sino Siya sa buhay mo! *Ang kagandahan sa ating Diyos ay lagi Siyang available at nakahanda upang hanapin natin Siya (KAWIKAAN 8:17), hindi Niya tinataguan ang mga taong naghahanap sa Kanya ng may effort o pagsisikap. III. Ano ang ibig sabihin ng “Upang hanapin ang kaharian ng Diyos (To seek God’s kingdom)” - Ang ibig sabihin ay nakagawa tayo ng desisyon na bumaling sa Diyos laban sa pagkabalisa o pag-aalala. Puwede kasing ang hinahanap ng tao ay ang Diyos o di kaya’y mga pagkabalisa o pag-aalala which is it represents the world (mga makamundong bagay na siyang nagbibigay sa atin ng pagkabalisa o pag-aalala) at kung ang God’s kingdom ang hinahanap mo ay nagkaroon ka ng desisyon na piliin ang Diyos kay sa mundo. *Ang katanungan: Paano hahanapin unang-una ng isang Kristiyano ang kaharian ng Diyos? IV. Mga paraan upang hanapin unang-una ang kaharian ng Diyos araw-araw a. Through Prayer (Sa pamamagitan ng Panalangin). b. Through Reading of God's words (Sa pamamagitan ng pagbabasa sa Salita ng Diyos). c. Through Worship (Sa pamamagitan ng pagsamba). d. Through Participation in God's Ministry (Sa pamamagitan ng pakikilahok sa mga Gawain ng Diyos). V. Pagtatapos Kung minsan mabibigat ang mga nangyayari sa ating buhay, minsan ay dumarating ang oras na natutukso tayo, minsan naman tayo’y nababalisa o nag-aalala hindi lamang sa ating mga basic needs, kundi sa pandemya, sa kaguluhan ng mga iba’t-ibang mga bansa at kabilang ang ating mga personal na problema, “Pero laging balikan ang salita ng Diyos tulad ng itinuro ng Panginoong Hesus sa MATEO 6:33. Ano man ang nangyayari ay laging tumakbo tayo sa Diyos dahil Siya ay available at ready palagi upang hanapin natin Siya. Tandaan, hanapin ang Diyos higit sa lahat ng mga bagay. Binalaan ng Panginoong Hesus ang Kanyang mga Alagad tungkol sa mga alalahanin sa mundo na kung mararanasan man nila ang mga ‘yan ay huwag silang mag-alala dahil ang Panginoong Hesus mismo ang nagsabi niyan, in Verse 34 same chapter ng MATEO 6, kaya’t huwag ninyong alalahanin ang bukas, sapagkat ang bukas ang mag-aalala sa kanyang sarili. Sapat na para ngayon ang kabalisahan sa araw na ito. Ang paghahanap sa Kaharian ng Diyos ay tuloy-tuloy hanggang matapos natin ang ating takbuhin bilang Kristiyano. Kailangan ng buong pagtitiwala natin sa Diyos at iyon ang itinuturo ng Panginoong Hesus. Dapat nating malaman na ibang-iba ang kaharian ng Diyos kumpara sa mundong ito na punong-puno ng pasakit, ng kaguluhan, ng mga sakit, ng mga kirot ng mga kabalisahan at mayroong hangganan ang lahat ng mga bagay sa mundong ito. VI. Reflection Ang Diyos ba talaga ang main priority mo sa iyong buhay o lumalapit ka lang sa Kanya kapag wala kang other option? Kaya hanapin natin ang kaharian ng Diyos habang may mga pagkakataon pa. Mas magandang panoorin ng buo ang video upang mas malinaw at mas maintindihan ng husto ng buong-buo ang lesson. Maraming salamat at magtulungan tayong maibahagi ang Salita ng Diyos na nasa Bibliya. Pagpalain ang bawat nakikinig, nagbabasa at tumutupad ng mga Salita ni Kristo!
