Calle Mayor is the name of a street in my hometown where I spent many hours in my late teens and early twenties. Busking (when I used to play classical guitar) or just hanging around with friends. It's also the location of two of my long time favourite bars, El refugio del crápula and Entalto, which were instrumental places in my late teens. In this piece I use taro patch tuning (G C E G), also known as open C. The tablature is among the twelve originals in seven different tunings included in Anthology of Alternate Ukulele Tunings.
