After breaking my Nagoya NL-770S VHF UHF antenna I bought two replacements and checked the SWR after installation on my Land Cruiser 70. The antenna was spot-on right out of the box, so not much to show, but the procedure is pretty simple. I suggest having a look at the Nano VNA antenna analyser for this, or using a regular VHF SWR meter.

Hight Frequency, 3 to 30MHz can also be used for local communications. I want to explore this subject a little more in the future with smaller radios than the two military models I used here. HF goes through vegetation and various materials better than VHF and much better than UHF. Ask me which radio I would take with me for a jungle trip and I will say an HF radio any day. We don't have jungles here but a thick pine forest would be a challenge to get a signal out of, except with an HF radio on a low band, 40 or 80m.
