From 1984 to about 2008, the Baby Boomer generation tried to improve American society but only succeeded in making things worse with their greed, shallowness and shortsightedness. In the end, the Boomers only succeeded disrupting society and provided fertile ground for the next major decline in American society.

Post the G.I. society, baby boomers graduated high school, went to college and took their place in society. They weren't interested in building a nation, they wanted to make it more spiritual, more real. They experimented, floundered, emphasized form over substance and ultimately made a mess.
