In 1989 Rob Paulson provided the voices of Ten Cents, Zorran and Zak for an American Dub of the episode Sunshine. Unfortunately no investors picked up the show and thus the 12 remaining episodes never received the same treatment. Since Robert D. Cardona eventually gave up in seeking for investors in 1995, the same year Pinky and the Brain debuted, I wondered what if Paulson's favorite voiced character was tasked to be the TUGS equivalent of Mr. Conductor to rope in newcomers as the latter had done for Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends. Each episode would consist of 15 minute TUGS episodes sandwiched by 2 minute and 30 second Pinky and the Brain segments at the beginning and end which would transition in a similar fashion to Shining Time Station. With the success of this spin-off series the original 20-minute cuts of all TUGS episodes would finally see the light of day through home releases and maybe at last receive the funding needed to make future seasons.
