There are more than 7 billion people on Earth. Of those, 20% are born with highly refined nervous systems that influence many aspects of their personality and worldview. 62 million Americans -- 1.4 billion people worldwide -- process things more deeply. Many suffer unnecessary socialized shame because they do not know this vital piece of neurological information about themselves.
I believe our nervous systems have been wired for us to bring forth a different kind of leading, and a different kind of living... a radical departure from the rude, crude, violent, mind-numbing ways that have dominated our norms, despite them being so ecologically and psychologically destructive.
I believe highly sensitive people are neurologically wired to respond to our planet's call -- from business to biosphere -- to step forward and bring forth many missing virtues from our culture... things like tenderness, compassion, empathy, benevolence, collaboration, inspiration, joy... virtues that have been confused for weakness, but are actually needed in every realm of our lives.
"Nice" people tend to wait for permission and approval before boldly asserting themselves, and confidently reaching for what lights them up. Well, here is your permission. And approval. Not that you needed either.
SOME REVIEWS:
"Erika Harris is a visionary -- probably before her time -- like a starburst passionately leading us back to the heart of what really matters! This book will inspire you to stand tall, speak out and let your sensitive voice, heart and light shine for the betterment of your own community, and then the world at large. She explains how we HSPs -- highly sensitive people -- can and must act now to make a difference, and this book will help you along the way."
"Well-written and concise empath manifesto. The POWER of Your Intense Fragility, builds empaths up by encouraging them to see their sensitivities as a gift not a curse. Erika empowers us to take those gifts and to take action out in the world. I have read many books on empathy and have perused many sensitive and empath message boards, and was impressed to read about some tools and analogies that I have never encountered before. I look forward to more from this author."
"This book gives empaths and sensitives permission to be their true and best self. As a HSP with self-defined SPS, I found this book to help me learn more about who I am and how I function in the world. Erika Harris writes in a way that arouses all of your senses by the use of her examples and poetic use of language. She has experience first-hand in being a highly sensitive person, and I was reassured of her expertise on the topic while reading.

I am so glad I surrendered to silence.
I protect it with a vengeance, like a mama bear...
because when held long enough --
sweet, sacred silence --
The Song is heard.
The always-playing, ever-adaptive
Song of Sufficiency.
Source of Synchronicity.
You have to get to higher ground
to see the vista of higher choice.
And The Song that comes *after* silence,
lifts you there... every time.
S I L E N C E
I tend and nurture it like a lover.
In turn, it tends and nurtures me like a lover.
It is hard, elusive, massively-assailed,
resisted, *unlikely...*
*** a n d a l s o ***
Silence is the seed, of *whatever* you need.

We're trained to fear quiet,
so fill all spaces with noise and "news" that deafens
the Real Rhythmic Reminder
that Life actually... literally...
PUMPS. THROUGH. YOU.
Knock! Knock!
*Who's there?*
L i f e ' s D r u m,
which is played as your heart!!
It's impossible to lose.
It's always in your service.
And each beat is love. ❤️

THE TEN STATEMENTS USED IN THE SOVEREIGNTY SCAN:
Words are life-force. Therefore, I say what I mean, and mean what I say.
My beliefs make sense to me.
Integrity means more to me than popularity.
Tribe is nice, but truth is my price.
I determine my own limits.
I govern my mind.
I honor my heart.
I revere my body.
My DESTINY is mine… so I accept responsibility for it.
My BODY is mine… so I accept responsibility for it.
