Chokramudi trekking in Munnar provides you with best panoramic views of the well-acclaimed landscapes of the region. Unravel the splendid beauty of this beautiful hill-station by embarking on this enthralling trek with friends and family.
This peak gives you one of the most testing trekking experiences in Kerala. The views from the top are spectacular. If you are lucky, you can even spot the Nilgiri Tahrs resting on the nearby peaks.
The stunning rocky mountain slopes on one side and beautiful Shola forests on the other end will leave you dazzled throughout the trek. Get ready to witness the spectacular view of the highest peak in India, ‘Anaimudi’ and the soothing Idukki Dam which is listed as one of the highest arch dams in Asia.
This is the best place to visit if you love nature, greenery and some adventure. The climb is moderate through green patches (even during summer end). The last stretch if you want to do will be more of rock climbing and can be slightly risky depending on your experience and weather. It was heavily misty when we climbed and have a great experience. To do this trek you need a local guide as you can get lost. Basically you follow the trial created by the wild elephants to climb up?. To reach he base camp you need to get in touch with any of the trek groups as it’s accessible via an off-road trial only. Avoid monsoon time, that’s June to August. Enjoy and don’t litter and help keep the nature pristine.

Meeshapulimala , the one place which I always wanted to visit and feel ....Today in this video , let me take u to the enchanting view of Meeshapulimala
Our trip started from munnar. It is a mandatory procedure to report at the Forest Office before you begin the journey.... We hired a jeep from Munnar town and then reported at the office. After spending some time in the beautiful garden at the office, we started our off- road journey which was undoubtedly an experience. The extremely friendly driver did not hesitate to stop in between to view the lush green landscapes
Meeshapulimala is situated around 30 kms off-road way from Munnar town at Idukki district in Kerala....It shares the border with Theni district of Tamilnadu. This second highest peak of the Western Ghats is about 2,640 meters above the sea level .
The Sunrise view here is well-known. Hence, I with my fellow mates planned the visit with a night stay at Rhodo Mansion Cottage which is 5 kms away from the peak , so that we can start our trek before dawn and experience the enchanting sunrise. I booked the stay online through KFDC website prior to the visit . The room at Rhodo Mansion cost 6,740/- for 2 members).
It took nearly two hours for us to reach the Mansion . We were charged 3000/- to and fro in total for the pick and drop to the Mansion . Later , I was told that one can take their own vehicle to the Mansion but their vehicle number also has to be registered at the forest office.
Rhodo Mansion is a simple but beautiful cottage amidst the forest . We were warned not to step out of the trench alone , as wild animals take a stroll at night. The room allotted to me was spacious and well facilitated with a wardrobe, table, cot with clean mattress, sleeping bags, blankets and so on. The well lit wash room was clean with hot water facility .
The hospitality at the Mansion is commendable. The caretakers Rajan Chetan and his wife Selvi chechi welcomed us with a hot cup of tea which was a boon in that extremely chill weather. Later, we decided to take a walk to the sunset point . Trekking to the sunset point seemed a bit hard or may be I was exhausted after that terrific travel . Unfortunately, we failed to get a glance of the setting sun due to mist.
By night the climate turned ruthlessly cold with a temperature of 4 degree Celsius . After the delicious dinner ( chapathy, rice, chicken , egg roast, sambar and beetroot) , a camp fire was set for us to warm ourselves .
Next morning by 6 am , we started our trek to view the rising sun. The guide Rajan Chetan also accompanied us till the peak. By 6.30 am , the sharp , piercing rays of the sun started to embrace us. That was a breathtaking view. The light music of the chill breeze added to the mesmerizing beauty.
After spending some t

One of the most iconic monuments in the world
The ultimate symbol of Paris
Once the tallest building in the world
Welcome to my new vlog on 130 years history of the Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower, the historical icon of Paris attracts millions of tourists every year. This structure which can be viewed from much of Paris is an important emblem for the people who live here.
Designed by the esteemed engineer, Gustave Eiffel, it took 22 months to complete the construction and was open to the crowning glory during the Paris World Fair of 1889.
Gustave Eiffel had a reputation of producing iron monuments which could withstand all weather conditions. The Eiffel tower is no exception. A particular type of iron named ‘puddle iron’ is been used for the construction.
All the three floors of the tower is open to its visitors. The first two floors are accessible by stairs and an elevator where you get an access to the luxurious restaurants and cafes. There is also an observational deck to witness the beauty of the Paris city. To reach the summit one must climb the steps.
This 10,100 tons tower has to be repainted with a thick layer of protective paint every 7 years. Over the years the tower has been painted with various colours, from the original reddish- brown shade to bright yellow. It is been said that in the year 2024, it will be revamped with a golden paint, to coincide with the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Eiffel Tower was part of the ‘race to the sky’ in the 19th century. In the year 1889, the tower hit the record for the World’s tallest building, topping for the next four decades.
Visit to this world famous monument in the evening and night leaves you with a completely different experience. In particular, climbing the stairs, while the structure is lit up from inside offers a unique ambience which one wouldn’t want to miss. The best view ever is the sparkling tower every hour for 5 minutes. The view of the shining, sparkling Eiffel Tower makes one feel that it is indeed the ‘embodiment of beauty’.
Amidst all the protests and controversies, this symbol of ingenuity and modernity of the 20th century is worth a visit.
