Aldous Huxley, who was also the teacher of George Orwell (1984) with whom he maintained a correspondence, made this interview in 1958. Author of the book "Brave New World" appeared in 1931, he wrote this:
"The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of a democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitudes. "
Film by Michael Radford adapted from the novel by George Orwell (1949). Released in...1984 addresses the notions of freedom, free thought, disobedience, choice and refusal...(does that speak to you?). A sentence that can be remembered "Thought crime does not cause death, it is death".
