Interpreting myth: Verses 25/26 in Vǫluspá refer to the same myth found in chapter 42 of the Prose Edda book Gylfaginning which tells the story of how a Jotunn in disguise deceived the gods to enter a deal in which he would build the walls of Asgard in exchange for the sun, moon and the hand in marriage of Freyja. The desolate moors of Britain are home to ancient pagan sites. One such Bronze-age structure on Dartmoor came to be associated with Odin in the medieval times when it was named Grimspound.
