Signum - Coming On Strong/What Ya Got For Me (Tidy & Untidy Remix Pack, 1999-2011 Tidy Trax)
So here's the deal, Tidy Trax are 1 of my fave labels around Y2Kttt because they bridged the gap between hard house & trance inhe very "best of both worlds" fashiony. Signum was one of those producers who could remix dogshit like ATB & Alice Deejay, and somehow turn it into D-floor gold.Signum's
"Coming On Strong" is without question tnheir most thumping; euphoric peak time anthem. So much so that it inspired a seemingly endless trove of remixes (I barely have half here, and they all do their own thing, while paying homage, from minmal to hard & ravey, to dark with the melody barely hinted, and 2 bloody great "mix n mash" tune splicers. 3 white labels, along with mixes of Signum's debut anthem: "What Ya Got For Me" + a couple less known classic trance anthems "Harmonic" & "Timelord".
Trax: 1.Coming On Strong (Original mix) 2. Hyperlogic remix
3.Harmonic (Original mix) 4. What Ya Got For Me (Original mix) 5. Timelord (Original)
12. Tidy Boys Vs Signum "Comin on Strong" (Untidy Dub) 13. The Crow - What ya Lookin At (Bulletproof Remix) 14. Tidy Boys-Coming on Strong mash up(blackie mix)
Classic anthem by Bruno Sanchioni, ⅓ of B.B.E ("7 Days and 1 Week"... which you can very easily tell if you play the 2 back2back)& Giuseppe Chierchia, a guy better known for that much sampled disco tune (the one in "Getting Jiggy With it" and "Don't call me Baby"... Ring a bell? Don't ask how I know that ... just... don't ok? ???).
Classed as *"the first trance tune ever made",* which it pretty much is, from way back in 1990. It sounded great then; great in 1992 when Jam & Spoon 's "Watch out for Stella" remix updated for the millions of new ravers (which I included because many ravers aren't aware that's not the original version), it's been great all the times it's been remixed, whether the old skool or the new versions (the only thing out of sync is the description of THIS Particular "age".
More "the age that needs love".

3. OPM remix

Mark Skelton (no relation to Les...so they claim haha!) a more technical DJ. I'm officially on a bittersweet Niche Nostalgia-fest...And it's led me to this gem of a tune I've been searching for at about 48:00 I only heard it 3 times in my life 1996-2000, whenever I asked it was "IGA feeling" or more informatively "White label" by "Unknown". I apologize for the sound quality in the others, this ain't bad & the Danny Walker mix sounds great .

The obvious inspiration for those "organ-style" house tunes (Night Train, Hysteric Ego,
klubhopping). This is a rare example of the remix being better than the original.
Original member of the Infinity Project (who got the name "Doof" while trying to describe the sound of the perfect kickdrum "DOOF!"), delivers a solid solo album. Kicking off with pounding title track of the same name, and never letting up. "Let's Turn On" is a percussive Goa Trance rollercoaster!
It took me second & third listen before I realized what quality these beatsmiths delivered. Something you can listen to without knowing it.
Way more tech oriented, but if you're expecting 4/4 DJ tools, with the exception of thrle explosive "Double Flashlash" then forget it (unless, unlike me you can mix anything with anything lol).
Break with of every speed, style, pattern, rhythmic gymnastics sprinkled with with electronic sound as varied as tropical Ocean life. As well as beatless & downtempo ambience with the sweet vocals of Nicole in "swords"
"Phat Planet" is a phat quirky bass-loaded breakbeat monster, closest to Leftfield's past work ? (Very sequential with that Proppellerheadz style groove).
Me after 3rd listen: 9/10
