Highlights of my best captures of ISS over the last year, tracked using my SatTraker software, an 8" Meade LX200 Classic, and a 2x Barlow lens.

Asteroid 2022 GN1 missed earth by less than a third the distance to the moon last night, and I was able to track it with my 8" Meade LX200 telescope using my NEOTraker software!

Looped 6 minute time lapse of tracking the satellite Palapa B1. Palapa B1 was a communications satellite launched for Indonesia on Sally Ride's first mission to space during STS-7 (making her the first American woman in space). Its geosynchronous orbit is 35,800 km high, making it a telescope-only object. Recorded with a modified Samsung SDC-435 and 8" LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope at about f/3. 512x sens-up, low AGC, SSNR and in-camera sharpening on.

One last video showing the December 6th partial eclipse, this one a closeup of just the eclipse with the view fixed to be normal to the ecliptic, the same orientation as SDO's camera.
To see for yourself, just paste the following orbital elements into celestia's solarsys.ssc file below the entry for earth:

Through intermittent clouds, I was able to capture these images of asteroid 2020 SW approaching earth closer than our own geostationary satellites. This was tracked using NEOTraker based on the orbital elements at the start of the time lapse. The asteroid gradually drifts out of view due to Earth's gravity perturbing its orbit! My NEOTraker software is open source and can be downloaded from GitHub:
