April 2016 Jurgen travelled with some other people to the Sandrohy and Ikongo districts. This survey was done to find out whether missionwork would be welcomed in the area. The districts are very remote and not reachable by public transport. The people who live in this area are called the Tanala and they speak a dialect of Malagasy.
We hope to return soon with the whole family to see where we can live. We also have to find solution for the many logistical challenges.
In this video report one can see how people live and how to move through the area.
