In this video I discuss some questions many have had about making masks. I talk about the materials involved such as: interfacing and fabrics and why we use these specific ones. I also address other issues regarding masks and look at some of the science behind the masks.
Pattern specifics: The below measurements are the cut out size. They will be slightly smaller depending on the size of your seam allowance which can be 3/8" - 1/2". These sizes are for the average person. You may need to adjust them larger or smaller according to the need of the wearer. Add or subtract 1/4" to 1/2"
Ladies Mask: 9" x 7 1/2", elastic 6" - 7" depending on the elasticity of the elastic

Teen Mask: same as Ladies

Nose bridge wire:
Normally I use a single piece of pipe cleaner, the full length folded in 4ths, woven together and twisted to make a 3" wire. I slide it into a casing made with bias tape. The two rows of stitching should be approximately 1/2" or less apart.
In this video I am using aluminum metal strips that were donated by a machine metal working company called SMART. International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation Workers. I sent them an email and they gave me the number I requested. I do not know if they are still donating but i intend to contact them to purchase more. I have included their contact information below

In this video you watch three things happening at the same time picking berries, weaving a basket, and the making of grape jam where I overlay some thoughts to think about as I consider this life and realize the good we have. I hope this uplifting message brings you joy and helps you to see the blessings around you.
