Atonal Harmony in the Empire Strikes Back | Composer Toolbox: Episode 7
In my humble opinion, Williams's score for The Empire Strikes Back was quite a bit more inventive and unsettling in his scoring of the tense moments of the film. This video aims to find out how Williams creates tension using atonality in these moments.

With Danny Elfman's score for the 1989 Batman came an intricate use of themes and sounds. When it came to the Joker specifically, there was no theme. The Dark Knight Rises ( a Piano Transcription): The Legend Ends: While I wanted to arrange some of the Dark Knight Rises score, I didn't feel like transcribing a 15-song compilation. So, instead I decided to transcribe three songs from the suspenseful climax of the dark movie. Songs include "All Out War," "Chasing the Convoy East," and "Rise."
NOTICE:
I do not own the rights to these pieces. All song copyright belongs to Hans Zimmer (James Newton Howard), other unknown contributors, Christopher Nolan (and other contributors), and Warner Bros. respectively. This music is intended for study and personal enjoyment only.
