We have a lot of rocks here, so in the springtime we roll the alfalfa fields with a cultivator and roller (see some of my previous videos).
In this video, we're using a 1947 (48 model year) John Deere Model A to pull a weighted roller. The purpose of the roller is simple--to push rocks down into the ground to assist in less damage to the swather (windrower) and other equipment.
It was also a good excuse to get the Model A out and put some seat time on the machine.

Cold Start and Ride on the 730 Diesel. This video shows a cold start of a 1960 John Deere Model 730 Diesel. It was 20ºf when I started the tractor. I also took it out and drove it around in the field a little bit. Shot with a GoPro Hero2 and an iPhone 6s Plus.

I've been doing some tinkering on the 420, and thought it would be fun to take it out for a little video shooting. It is a fun little tractor, and I like having the foot clutch on a two cylinder model.

A friend and myself riding around on a Ski-Doo 850s. We had some nice fresh snow that day, but didn't get to see any sunshine!

I've recently painted the Farmall Super M. Not a great paint job, but enough to keep it from rusting... Seeing as the farming is done for the year and the field is clear and the day was nice, I thought it would be fun to take it out for a drive across the field.
The video also has some footage of John Deere 420 Utility. Why take one tractor out, when you can take two!
Also, I've received the new iPhone 11 Pro, and I wanted to test out its 4K with image stabilization options. I'd say it did pretty well!

Feeding Hereford and Angus cattle with a 1951 John Deere Model A.
We've received a good amount of snow the past few days. It's also quite windy. This video shows the tractor cutting through some of the fresh snow. Most of the previous tracks were covered (mostly due to the wind). We had around a foot of new snow, but the wind took that down some.

Here's something a little different than my typical posts... A 1944 Farmall M, made by International Harvester. The Farmall line was very different than Deere's two-cylinders of the time. Although I prefer Deere, I love classics, regardless of the color. The Farmall was a very important part of American agricultural history. Today, if you buy a new tractor, they're pretty much the same under the hood. Back in those days, that definitely wasn't the case. Each brand had their pluses and minuses.
It was a beautiful day and I couldn't think of anything better to do! Enjoy.
