According police, At 10:10 am., 2024 Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Cordero spotted a suspicious vehicle near the regal Cinema 99 in the Hazel Dell neighborhood, Vancouver, Washington. Deputy Cordero observed 2 people, a male (described as bald) and a female (described as having reddish hair) walking away from the vehicle. Deputy Cordero attempted to speak with them but they continue leaving the area. At 10:38 a.m. Deputies responded to a reported carjacking in Hazel Dell (9200 Block of NE 15th Avenue). The victim reported that two suspects, a male described as bald and a female, described as having reddish-blonde hair, had stolen his van. The witness also stated that the male suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspects reportedly left the scene in the stolen van. At 10:55 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance near Goodwill in Salmon Creek, located at 14300 North East 20th Avenue. Witnesses stated that a male and female had attempted to carjack a vehicle with a person inside. Descriptions of the suspects near Goodwill matched the descriptions of the armed suspects in the Hazel Dell carjacking. Deputies responded to the scene and set up a containment area to search for the suspects. Deputies located the stolen van from the Hazel Dell carjacking behind the American Legion at 14011 North East 20th Avenue. While discussing their next steps, a bald male walked out from behind a shipping container in the parking lot. Deputies observed the male suspect later identified as 41-year-old Benjamin Steven Woods of Prineville, Oregon enter the American Legion. Deputies contacted Woods inside the American Legion, where an officer-involved shooting took place. Once the scene was under control, deputies provided first aid to Woods according to Washington state policy. When medical personnel arrived, they pronounced Woods dead at the scene. Later that day at around 3:25 p.m., Deputies located and arrested the female suspect near North East 144th Street and North East 20th Avenue. No deputies or bystanders were physically injured. #policechase #policedashcam #policechase CLEVELAND, OHIO --- Parma police have arrested a man who was involved in a domestic dispute before fleeing from officers Tuesday evening. A K-9 officer saw Shon Burton, 22, driving erratically out of an apartment complex on Chevrolet Boulevard. Officials said the officer attempted to catch up with Burton, who attempted to pull into the Snowville Shopping Plaza after running a red light at Chevrolet Boulevard and Snow Road. When the officer approached Burton, a concerned citizen with a concealed carry permit pulled up in his vehicle and stopped in front of Burton's vehicle in an attempt to block his path. Burton did not comply with the officer's commands and attempted to flee as he officer was reaching inside of his vehicle. As Burton pulled forward to flee, he rammed the citizen's vehicle, according to a press release. According to police, the citizen then fired multiple shots at the suspect's vehicle. The citizen stated that he was in fear for his own life as well as the officer's life. He stated he believed the officer was being dragged away. After Burton fled the scene, he crashed his vehicle at Brookpark and Tiedeman roads. When the officer went to look for Burton, he found the crash and additional citizens told the officer where the suspect fled. The officer found Burton running from the Sam's Club parking lot on Tiedeman Road, where he was taken in custody. Officers later discovered a loaded sawed-off shotgun in the area of where Burton crashed. The shotgun had previously been reported stolen out of Kentucky. Officers discovered the Burton had been involved in a domestic dispute that involved guns. The suspects are accused of stealing more than $1 million worth of merchandise from retailers across the Midwest. The four men are from Illinois and Indiana, and police have been trying to catch them for months. They are suspected in more than 25 burglaries in at least three states. Sunday morning, they were caught on surveillance video as they removed electronics from display cases at a Best Buy in Greenfield, Wisconsin, around 4 a.m. on Sunday. One of them used a ladder to pull items from a shelf. “This was a big one. They were very active. They were hitting every few days, and they weren’t slowing down,” Greenfield Police Assistant Chief David Patrick said. The men were leaving the store when Greenfield police arrived. A police chase ensued, reaching speeds of up to 70 mph on Interstate 43. Officers used a PIT maneuver to stop the burglars’ van, which had been stolen in Milwaukee. The driver lost control and the van flipped. Police said the The suspects include 43-year-old Richard Listenbee (Kokomo, IN), 41-year-old Kentrell Steppes (Dixmoor, IL), 19-year-old Jason Harris and 18-year-old Michael Durkins (both from Country Club Hills, IL). They also allegedly broke into Ulta Beauty, Kohl’s, and Art’s Camera stores in the area. Art’s Camera manager Dan Flynn said they caused at least $10,000 in damages at the store in Greenfield. Police said a large amount of stolen items was found inside the burglars’ van. Some of the men were still wearing masks and gloves when they were arrested.
