UE4 Multiplayer RPG #25 - Cycle / Randomize AI Attacks for more variation.
Episode 25: This video is a bit messy since i had to redo a lot of stuff because of some errors I had. I bought a new computer and switched over the projects and everything so that might have messed it up. Anyway, win this video we will randomize the AI characters attacks!.
Series Description: In this series we dig deeper into multiplayer blueprints by creating a Free Action RPG game from scratch using only free assets! The series is more intended for intermediate unreal users as i might sometimes have a hard time to explain everything. But with that said i do intend to make it as beginner friendly as possible so that everyone can follow along. I will also use free assets as far as i can and we will cover a lot of what the engine has to offer.
It will be inspired by dark souls and other souls likes but i will also try to show you ways to make it more generic to fit more classical RPG and fantasy gameplay a swell.

Edit: I completely forgot to actually replicate the stances. To make it work for multiplayer, all you have to do us to set your "attack_UP", "attack_Left" , "attack_right" and "canChangeStance " variables and set them to be replicated :)

Part 3 of my Multiplayer darksouls inspired Combat system tutorial. In this part we go through Double jumping with a different jumping animation for the second jump aswell as adding a jumping attack that can only be done while we are in the air. I also improve the combo attack system by adding animnotifiers to disable attacks if we are already attacking.
EDIT: If you are having problems getting a root motion animation to work on the "Z- axis" the solution is to set the movement mode to flying for the duration of the animation and then back to "walking" again.

Hi Guys! In this video we will start with the actual melee combat system. As always it will be completely replicated. I will add different attack animations based on what stance we are using. Later we will add light and heavy attacks as well as the parry system that makes for honor what it is.
