Montage of the trains passing the Martin Airport MARC station from about 2:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon. Unlike last year I ran into a couple of other local railfans so this year's videos are a bit more crowded XD
Like last year I went with my GoPro body mount in order to also be able to take still photos. Unlike Halethorpe, which now sees a crowd of Railfans on Thanksgiving Sunday, I found myself alone at Martin Airport.
Seen here are...

The TRRA controlled WR interlocking in Granite City, IL used to be controlled by a manned interlocking tower up through the 1990's with an absolutely ancient US&S EP machine. Today the interlocking remoted, however it still features the parallel main lines of UP (Alton), KCS and NS being crossed at grade by a diagonal TRRA industrial track. This also marks the northern extent of TRRA main line trackage.
Video was taken from the rear of Amtrak Train 21, the Texas Eagle, as I made use of the last rays of twilight. WR interlocking begins at 0:44

The new DC Metro Potomac Yard infill station also came with an infill scissors crossover type interlocking. This creates a gap in the third rail just where northbound trains are under heavy acceleration and not surprisingly this creates impressive arcs that are plainly visible from the overhead mezzanine.

Here I edit/research photos from the 4th annual SEPTA Mid-Winter Trip that occurred between Christmas and New Years in 2004. The trip included trips to Fox Chase, Cynwyd, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West and North Philadelphia.
In Part 3 we proceed from VALLEY interlocking at the Cynwyd/Main Line Junction, out to Wayne Jct, then up to Chestnut Hill East before transfering to Chestnut Hill West and finally North Philadelphia.

GoPro video from the front of the northbound 2018 NYC Subway Holiday Nostalgia Train running from 2nd Ave to Rockefeller Center, but due to a variety of reasons, the routing was changed to the 8th Avenue Subway on an express D routing from 125th St south. The car was R1 #381. Unfortunately, due to a small component oversight, I was unable to use my GoPro mount and I had to and make do with a Selfie Stick, with marginal results :-(
The Nostalgia Train is run with R1/9 equipment that date from the 1930's. The growling sound is from straight cut gears. The screaming and tomfoolery is from a group of children placed in front of the Railfan Window :-0
