BMW M10 valve clearance adjustment
This is the very first time I have adjusted the valve clearances on any car. After a lot of reading and a trial run, I think I mages to do it correctly.

When I went to replace the gearbox mount on my Focus MK2, I noticed that the hanger that holds the catalytic converter pipe to the chassis was corroded and needed fixing. The easiest solution turned out to get a replacement one from Autodoc and the fitting only took a few minutes. A great alternar to welding if this facility isn’t available.

In this video I’ll be telling the full story of my 1974 BMW E12 520, from its first ownership on South Africa, right up to my second ownership in 2022. I will also be telling how I came across this car 18 years since the last time I sold it.

1:20 - events in 1974 and first time the car was bought;
4:42 - events in 1979, the car is exported to Portugal and and what happend in the following decades;
8:54 - events in 2001, the car is sent to scrap, but its is saved by an enthusiast;
10:52 - 2002, the start of my story with this car;
21:40 - 2004 and I have to sell the car and I need the first owner;
26:40 - 2022, the reunion and how I got it back.
