Denise Shick - Her story; The Impact of Family
It is important to be informed regarding the facts and staggering statistics of transgenderism, but it is also important to hear the real-life stories of spouses, parents, daughters, sons, and siblings who have been personally affected by transgenderism in their family. Denise Shick powerfully shared her story at the 2019 Illinois Family Institute Worldview Conference on “Trans” Ideology.
When Denise was only nine years old, her father came out to her as transgender. She explains how this revelation deeply impacted her own sexual identity, her mental, physical, and emotional health through the years, as well as her family relationships. Denise’s story is one of confusion and loss, but ultimately it is a story of redemption, healing, and the ability to forgive that comes only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Overt, organized violent riots over the weekend escalated in such a way that the governors in twenty-seven states thought it was necessary to activate the national guard to augment local police efforts. In Illinois, these riots were not limited to downtown Chicago, but was spilling over into various City neighborhoods and suburbs like Arlington Heights, Richton Park, Calumet City, Tinley Park, Riverside, Orland Park, Blue Isalnd and Lansing. In Dolton rioters thought it was a good idea to throw a brick through the window of Christ Oasis church.
Other large municipalities also saw similar violence, including Aurora, Rockford, Waukegan, Champaign, Joliet, Springfield and Peoria,
Peaceful protests, which there were a few, were greatly overshadowed by wall-to-wall news coverage of extreme violence, vandalism, looting and arson locally and in cities across the nation. In Washington D.C., "the church of the presidents" was set on fire by godless insurgents. The damage to St. John's Church (est. 1816) could be seen symbolically of how our culture has turned its back on God. Furthermore, it isn't a stretch to suggest that God has lifted His hand of protection in response to our rebellion and indifference to His precepts.
While many of us were thinking about the coordination of these attacks, I was somewhat surprised to hear Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Police Superintendent David Brown confirm these suspicions. Listen to their remarks:

BACKGROUND: According to the UK Daily Mail,
"Chinese gangs have set up thousands of illicit weed farms across the US as they begin to challenge Mexican cartels for supremacy as America's cannabis kingpins.
"Authorities in Oklahoma, Oregon, California, New Mexico and Maine have all been battling a surge in Chinese weed farms, with some thought to be linked to criminal gangs known as 'triads'.
"The spread is seemingly uncontainable, with police in Penobscot County, Maine, last week arresting three Chinese nationals at a weed farm and seizing 40 pounds of the drug alongside $4,700 in cash.
"It is thought to be one of around 270 illegal weed farms worth more than $4billion that have sprung up across the state since it legalized the drug in 2020. "Local law enforcement has carried out multiple busts already this year."
