Back in 2018 Anna and I wrote a book, based around my art, or more specifically, our love of the old abandoned buildings dotted around our countryside.
I was fascinated by them, I wanted to know more about them, like why were they abandoned? I mean they were the pride and joy of someone!! At some time.
In this series I embark on a journey to revisit the sites in the book, not to redraw but to see if they're still there and to find something of interest to draw either on the property or perhaps something else nearby.

I was recently asked to do a commissioned piece for a couple that wanted an image that they had on a caravan awning.
So I've called this a Commissioned piece stage 4
It was a beautiful old rustic scene that had an old rusty FJ Holden ute plus a post strainer and it also included a typical Aussie windmill.
It was one of those rural scenes that if I'd come across in my travels I'd of pulled over and taken a few pics myself with the intention of drawing it.
They'd seen one of my images on wood and decided that they wanted their image drawn an transferred onto wood as well.
So this is the stage 4 of the journey and in this video, I'm transferring the image onto wood!
And I'd love for you to join me on another artistic journey!

Laidley Pioneer Village and Museum

I've always had a fascination with old buildings, and the early settlers.
In my new series of vlogs I take you to The Laidley Pioneer village and Museum, a small town in South East Queensland.
I have already drawn several of these beautiful old buildings. However, in this series, I intend to draw a bit more of the old machinery they have there!
So in this video I draw an old Farmall 'A' Culti-Vision Tractor.
This is the final piece!!

How to draw Barb wire! Fun Times Family Art - Let's draw together! Is all about families (especially in these uncertain times) enjoying spending time together, sitting in front of the TV or whatever device they use to watch things together.
I get approached a lot by people who drew when they were younger, but for whatever reason, life got in the way and now they want to reconnect with their artistic side!
This tutorial is about drawing Barb wire, and even if you've never drawn before it doesn't matter because I take you step by step through each stage, and the end result, you'll have a nice little drawing that you'll be proud of!
Hopefully this will create the desire in you to want to carry on, either as a hobby or who knows?
I've had a few of my subscribers and also friends and my own family ask for this.
