Now, he will switch to Red Mage for further grinding. Heorot resumes at his Mog House in Bastok. He changes jobs to Level 50 Red Mage with White Mage as support. It would sure be nice to get some treasure chests with better gear. When he is ready, Heorot heads out. Bastok Mines (time 1:56): Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Yhoator Jungle, Elshimo Uplands. Yhoator Jungle (time 3:12): Heorot resumes training against Tonberries in Yhoator Jungle. After the first one, he uses the Field Manual and takes on the Page 5 individual training to defeat 10 members of the Tonberry family per training regime. Soon, Heorot reaches Level 51 as Red Mage. When his sword skill reaches 150, Heorot learns the weapon skill Circle Blade. In this video, Heorot goes a little farther afield to other clearings where Tonberries spawn. They are all over the southeast part of the jungle. One Tonberry Hexer drops a Rancor Tank, a rare-exclusive item. This must be for a quest. Later, Heorot reaches Level 52 as Red Mage. There is a banner at J-10. I wonder why it's a beastmen banner when the Elshimo Uplands is under Bastok's control right now. Curious. Near the end, Heorot fights the Bright-Handed Kunberry, a Tonberry notorious monster. He uses the Raising Earring beforehand, but the battle turns out all right. Talk about insane evasion, though. When he is done hunting Tonberries, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at the Outpost at I-8 to teleport to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 59:20): At the auction house, Heorot puts another stack of Light Crystals up for sale. Hopefully, someone will buy 'em one of these days. At the Chocobo Stables, he visits Neigepance, the merchant, to sell off some more loot. Tonberry Coats sell fairly well in bulk. Then, Heorot heads to the Residential Area. Previously, he started the Blue Trial and traveled to the Water Source of Heavenly Tears. He met Linarshe and a Slime named Slurpy. At the Shrine of Judgement, he met Kantis. Then, Davilas explored the Water Source of Heavenly Tears and found some of Slurpy's Slime friends: Slange, Slalo, and Surple. To save Surple, he had to defeat the Hungry Hunter at the Barak Rock Ledge. Now, Davilas will continue the search for Slurpy's Slime friends. It will now take him to Folion. Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan housing area. Outside, he checks his mail and receives gold for items that sold on the bazaar. Many thanks to the buyers! At the bank, Davilas deposits most of his gold. When he is ready to go, he uses the Soul Candlestick to teleport to the entrance of the Divine Capital Folion. Divine Capital Folion (time 2:51): On the bottom floor, Guster at D-7 has story info. In the middle of the bottom floor, Davilas examines the Slime on the southern side of the fountain at E-6. This is Thrald. After some dialogue, Davilas obtains the Thrald (スラルド) key item. Sounds like there are a couple more Slimes to find in Folion. Davilas goes up to the middle level. By the northeastern building, Tobarch at F-3 has story info. At F-2, Davilas examines the Slime outside the eastern side of the northeastern building. This triggers a scene with a couple of Slimes. Obnoxious little guys. Afterwards, Davilas talks to Tobarch at F-3 for some dialogue. His next objective is to check around the inn. On the eastern side of the inn, a scene takes place as Davilas approaches Stolur at C-2. The two Slimes, Blues and Brother, choose to go with Linarshe. There is one more Slime to look for. It should be at Zadom Spring in the west of the Water Source of Heavenly Tears. After the scene, Stolur at C-2 has story info. A boss fight is coming up soon. So, Davilas visits the pub and changes his vocation to Level 124 Minstrel. On the bottom floor, Guster at D-7 has story info. Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to teleport to the Cliff in the Water Source of Heavenly Tears. Water Source of Heavenly Tears (time 15:19): Davilas arrives at C-5 on the upper level of the Cliff area. He goes north into the tunnel to the lower level. Taking the next left, he emerges at A-3 to C-4 on the main map of the area. He is on the western island, where the Zadom Spring is located. Davilas works his way southwest. As he approaches a small shrine in the distance, a scene takes place at B-4. He meets Slale the Slime. Linarshe has a trick up her sleeve for getting rid of three beasties. Slale goes with her. Davilas's next objective is to return to the Shrine of Judgement. At B-5, a black chest contains a piece of Dragon Hide (ドラゴンの皮). Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to teleport to the Shrine of Judgement at D-4/E-4. When he arrives, he enters the shrine. Shrine of Judgement (time 22:09): As Davilas arrives, a scene takes place with Linarshe, Kantis, and the group of Slimes. The Slimes form the Holy King Slime. Davilas must now challenge this heavyweight. After the scenes, it is boss time against the Holy King Slime (ホーリーキング). It has various attacks, including a ground-pound that can knock nearby party members off their feet. It also has a beam that strikes party members in front of it. The Holy King Slime even has Disruptive Wave. The big blob is susceptible to Blunt and Sap, but it can heal itself of these ailments. Linarshe will occasionally support the player party from the sidelines. When the Holy King Slime starts absorbing MP from party members, Linarshe will sing a song that regenerates the party's MP. Another scene takes place after the Holy King Slime is subdued. Davilas earns 400 special training stamps and 25,000 gold. This concludes the Blue Trial. A fourth candle lights on Davilas's Soul Candlestick. Water Source of Heavenly Tears (time 39:57): Outside the shrine, another scene with Linarshe takes place. Now that he has completed the assigned trials, his next objective is to return to Folion. Davilas reenters the Shrine of Judgement. Shrine of Judgement (time 42:47): Kantis at D-5 has story information. Looks like the Holy King Slime is back in one piece, too. Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to teleport back to Astoltia.
