As a Carnivore I do miss Pizza. Well, my wonderful wife did some research and she made us a Meatza. One for her and our daughter. And then she made an extra crust for me. And I loaded it up with all sorts of BROTEIN!!!

Adoption Costs Thus Far:
Application fee: $400
Home Study & Required State Training: $2,400
First Program Fee to be visible on website for birth families (counseling & services to birth families, etc): $10,200
Documentation: FBI, CBI background checks, Local Police Reports, Finger Prints, Medical exams: $165
Creating & Printing Family Books to show expectant family: $250
Pediatric CPR & First Aid Training: $156
Passthrough Expenses: Travel to Castle Rock, CO to our Agency. Administrative meeting. Adoptive Core Class, two trips for our Home Study. Delivering our family books. Expenses mostly for fuel and food.
Child Proofing Our Home: Fire Extinguisher, Carbon Monoxide Detectors, Electrical Plugs, etc: $150
Getting Childs Room Ready: Crib Sheets, Age appropriate books and toys, parenting books, etc: $80
Upcoming Expenses
Program Fee for Child Placement & Legal Documentation for birth families & Court Appearances, Hospital Time and Discharge, Relinquishment of Birth Mothers Rights, Termination of Birth Fathers Rights, Legal Documentation for Adoption Finalization, Child Placement & Foster Care Licensing (We will be considered foster parents for the first 6 months after placement): $12,000
Variable and Estimated Expenses We Are Told To Budget For
Pregnancy Related Expenses: Not to exceed $2,000 (help with rent or various other things the birth family may need right before delivery)
Agency & Birth Parent Legal Fees (Varies by case not always required)$2,000
Pass Through Expenses: Includes Mileage, Meals, Post Placement Services, Court Filing Fees, etc: $400
