位在紐約市的 Delmonico’s於 1827 年開幕，他是全美國第一間高級餐廳，首創私人的用餐室、也是第一家讓客人可以用菜單點餐的餐廳，就連桌巾也是他們家發明的。許多首屈一指的經典名菜，例如Baked Alaska, Delmonico’s Steak 等等都來自於這家餐廳，所以Delmonico’s可以稱得上是美國最具代表性，也最有歷史意義的餐廳了！
Situated in New York, Delmonico opened in 1827. It's the first high-end restaurant in the US. It had the first private dining room, and the first restaurant that allowed diners to order off the menu. They even invented the concept of clean table cloths! Many classic dishes, like Baked Alaska and Delmonico's Steak all came from this restaurant. So Delmonico's can be said to be the most representative and historically significant American restaurant.
