Hobby Lobby took over former BIG Kmart#3891 on June 11, 2018, just about a year after Kmart closed. Today, we take a closer look at the Hobby Lobby portion to shop and to document where things were in the former Kmart. Hobby Lobby has been in Cheyenne since as early as the late 80s. It took over Cheyenne's Labelle's Department Store. Now, that Hobby Lobby has been taken over by Big Lots (Video on YouTube), as well as Frontier Trampoline Park, Wyoming's first trampoline park! I stumbled upon this abandoned Staples Office store back in 2019. Today it’s replaced, and a remake is LONG overdue! Let’s see what it looked like as abandoned! Walmart opened at this location in 1990. In 2000, they built a new supercenter down the street that opened in March. By 2006, Staples had opened in about a third of the building; it closed in 2016. In 2019, LEAP Fitness, a ninja-themed gym, signed a lease on the former Staples, renovated it, then opened late that year. ✍️ I bet there is at least one retail establishment you love!
